Seems to me that hockey writers don't have quite the knowledge and the awareness of "cap space" when writing articles about trades.

Can anyone tell me why the leafs would trade the entire farm for Nash? 8 million dollar cap hit... why? Great player but hardly one the the best, which is how he's paid.

And he's not a centre... I just don't see why they would overpay for him.

His contract makes him an unmovable player right now.
