Default Pacquiao vs. Hatton

I know there are quite a few Filipinos here with me that will be interested in this, are there any others? It looks like it's going to be a battle between Power (Hatton) and Speed (Pacquiao).

I haven't watched any Hatton fights before aside from Hatton vs. Mayweather so I can't really analyze the guy. I looked at some of his old fights and I saw lots of aggressiveness from him yet little technique. He's a powerful guy and if he can keep a close distance with Pacquiao, he could be dangerous.

Pacquiao seems focused, and he's sticking with the same training that he endured while preparing for De La Hoya. Aside from Roach mimicking Hatton's movements during the mitts session I don't see a difference.

I can see Pacquiao pulling off another win if he keeps moving but who knows how Hatton will look with a new trainer(Mayweather Sr.) by his side, no one really knows.

What do you guys think?

Oh I guess I should've mentioned that at least, it's set at May 2nd.

Thing about De La Hoya vs Pacquiao was that Oscar was just drained from trying to make weight, that and age caught up with him. Pacquiao still looked great, I won't take that away from him, but I don't see this looking like an easy fight. He's fighting someone younger than Oscar and much more aggressive.

I don't really know much about boxing either though, I just follow a handful of fighters

boxing is sad these days
Pac Man has no boxing style, he's just a brawler in a boxing ring
Hatton is not a great fighter and doesn't have a knockout ability needed to take down Pac Man
Hatton struggled against Mayweather, a quick puncher
since Pac Man is almost the same Hatton will get KO/TKO'd in the 9th

one of these chumps needs to get in the octogon with BJ Penn and get flattened.

dont compare manny to mayweather, flloyd is better in almost every way, i wish he would train for mma instead of just running his mouth.

I like this matchup.
Hatton is no pushover and is training his ass off for this fight. if he can keep inside vs manny, this will be a great bout.
Manny will need to overpower hatton and use his speed to work him down.

Manny is faster and stronger, but the later this fight goes - the better it will be for Hatton.

I'll be watching this at my friends house. he's philipino, and his whole family and friends will be there... there will be like 30 philipino's going crazy in his basement... i'm scared.
Manny is like jesus to them.

They would get flattened by George Saint Pierre.

Pacquiao has never faced a 140 punder before.
but still, I think Hatton will take this but no KOs.
by Lederman cards only, like a 5 - 6 point deficit.

Sure I'm filipino, but somebody has to go against the grain.
I'll just watch the new rookies coming in from my country after Pacquiao's era.

Bernabe Concepcion for one.

good point, and I was also thinking that before. Sure Pacman has fought De La Hoya at a heavier weight but that didn't turn out to be a true test. We'll see how Pacquiao handles this weight class (and Hatton is undefeated at the 140 pound division). It'll be a good fight!

pansit/pancit (can be spelled either way). Eggrolls? Hmmm if they were fairly small then you could be referring to lumpia which is also really good.

Tell your gf you are interested in trying "balut"
