Default Owens agrees to one-year, $2M deal with Bengals

Quote:
NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora confirmed that Owens will be paid $2 million in base salary and could earn an additional $2 million in incentives. Owens received $6.5 million from the Buffalo Bills last season.

The news thrilled friend and new Bengals teammate Chad Ochocinco, who had lobbied the team on Owens' behalf. Ochocinco wrote on Twitter: "Terrell Owens is officially a Cincinnati Bengals, Cincy let's welcome him with open arms, it's on now!" He later added that he and Owens are "like batman n robin, siskel n ebert, ying n yang, bonnie n clyde but you're bonnie though."

wow...this could either be a really good deal or an insane disaster...

with Baltimore and Pittsburgh in the same division...this could be disaster if they lose a lot of games....TO can be looked as the villain again if the don't go deep into the playoffs...but if they win, he might get back some respect....

Sounds like Antonio Bryant is facing knee problems and that is one reason the Bengals went after TO.

Only a one year deal so if it don't work it doesn't work. Palmer and Ochocinco have been pushing for him hard.

yep...they made a huge mistake signing bryant to that deal...close to 30 mil, if iam not mistaken....and its not like hes a young receiver with upside....

TO at that price makes a lot more sense...

Another option for Palmer and if TO can control himself it will be a nice little signing. He'll be the 3rd WR barring injuries and when they go 3 wide the Bengals will be scary.

Too bad Owens isn't the player he was 10 years ago
