I can see how someone would think that. I love the sport and i get bored watching it at times. But i prefer it to soccer.

I lived for baseball for years. Now I have no idea how I got through a game. Games are much longer and slower now though. Meanwhile the clock doesn't stop in soccer. It all happens, or doesn't happen, in a breezy timeframe.

Actually games have been shorter on average the last several years.

well that sucked.

Didn't realise elbows to the head were fine in the playoffs.
Why does Carlyle play Kostka so much. It became pretty aparent a long time ago that he really is a notch below NHL quality. We have a couple good D men sitting for crying out loud. Kessel doing what he does.

Oh well. Get back on the horse and try again. It's not over yet.

old age and treachery will overcome youth and skill. not sure if the leafs are wily enough to compete.

it's an old expression, that's all. only meant to show the green-ness of the leafs compared to an experienced, battle-tested squad. (who throws elbows... )

Grabovski had no business trying to hit Ference's elbow with his face.

the turnovers on east-west passes were off the charts. go north-fucking-south. yikes.

mentioned it last night...their Dead Zone turnovers (at both ends) were atrocious
then you have the fact that players were falling all over the place with nobody within 15 feet of them...if it wasn't so embarrassing it would be hilarious

i've seen peewee hockey teams play better

Kostka is terrrrrrible, why does this guy play at all? Not that i'm blaming him solely but really he sucks.

Leafs had way too many neutral zone turnovers, if it wasn't for reimer this game woulda been 6-1. I think we gotta give Gardiner or O'Byrne a shot here instead of Kostka. Gardiner's speed and first pass is needed, but so is O'Byrnes size.

This team was coughing up the puck all over the place. Kessel was shut down. You can tell JVR was a Flyer, he was one of the few dudes that didn't seem intimidated.

man for some reason Gardiner is in Carlyle's dog house. Last year it was franson in Wilson's and now it's Gardiner in Carlyle's and it's fucking stupid. Just play your best players and not some career AHLer.

I also didn't really care for the line selections. When i saw the graphic with the lines at the start of the game it just looked weird. Kardi with Komarov, Kulemin sans Grabovski, i could be mistaken but the lineups just looked too 'experimental.'

Yeah the only reason I think Randy doesn't play Gardiner is cause he needs work defensively when the other team is on the forecheck or hemming us in our own zone. On the other hand if he can make that crisp first pass of the zone that would be something sorely needed.

nasty end result here, lars eller leveled by the sens player. his face hitting the ice looks like what caused the most damage

diaz sending him a suicide pass didn't help here either
