edit...big game tonite (Leafs/Habs)...i'll be in Quinte with my team so i'll probably miss most of it
praying for a Buds/Habs 1st round...Leaf Nation will go bonkers if it happens
Ya man, Zaundawg in the nets, he is addicted to Hockey now. We were talking about it, he said he has done NOTHING but play hockey for 7 months. The fun thing was that I was talking to Dougie G, he was my D partner for a while, he said he doesn't play much but that he is starting so he and the boys can get in shape....i said for what....he says, for the classic man!!!!!! Holy shit. So we get to talking and he's like, "lidstrom is playing and a couple other guys, we need o be ready". So I say to him, "leafs detroit, this wont be a regular fun game will it, you guys are there to win" Killer says "fuck ya, fuck the redwings" HAHAHAH

As for leaf nation...heh, ya, habs would be off the charts. The ProAM draft is May 2. They have Real Sports Booked as a private funtion.... (oops on the Real sports inking that one) So likely I get to go to the draft party, eat and drink free, AND watch the Leafers at Real sports without a huge crowd.... with NHL players. Sweet Jesus!!!

so was Zaun any good ?...can he skate ?...cause he's a pretty thick dude

heard Gilmour on the radio (a few days ago ?) and he was talking about the boys hitting the ice in early August to get ready...should be a fun game to watch...and wouldn't be surprised if it got a little "chippy"
there's one thing i really want the league to try an arrange for that game...it's a longshot but it would literally bring tears to my eyes...they have to find a way to get Johnny Bower involved (just step on the ice with equipment on ?)....or maybe have him on the Leaf bench for a period
would love to go to the game but unfortunately i'll be in Germany/Italy for a few games with my team

soooo...you know who to contact if you can bring anyone to the ProAM...right ???

Blue Jackets win and one of them lose(Red Wings must be in regulation) and they make the playoffs. I'm praying!! CBJ 18-5-5 in their last 28 games. Goalie Sergei Bobrovsky deserves to win the Vezina!!!
Jackets out. Wings and Wild in.

Yeah, terrible start comes back and bites the Jackets in the ass. 19-5-5 to end the year, 2nd best record behind Pitt during that time period. Was really hoping they would get in, sadly Wild/Red Wings took care of business, props to them. CBJ would have been better matchup against Chicago over Wild but that doesn't matter now...

Good year for CBJ though. Fought hard, young team, 3 first rounders, 2 top prospects should be NHL rdy next year. Hopefully this was just not a one year wonder for Bobrovsky. If not, future looks good for once. The crowd tonight at Nationwide Arena was the best crowd I've ever seen in Blue Jackets history. They got the fans in Columbus excited for hockey. I talked to a few people who said they don't even know anything about hockey but are gonna start following it now. So there is that!!

Good luck to Toronto in the playoffs, I'll be rooting for you guys!! Playoff hockey is fun to watch, just want to see the Blue Jackets in there some time soon, haha!!!

Thought i'd put this here rather than start a new thread, good for him if they were talking bullshit:

Quote:
Former Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Brian Burke has filed a lawsuit with B.C. Supreme Court, saying he was defamed in online comments accusing him of having an extra-marital affair with a sports reporter.

Burke alleges the online comments published by 18 people, whose identities are unknown to him, are untrue.

The statements, which the court documents say were widely circulated on social media, claim that Burke was fired as the president and general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs because what the comments say was a sexual relationship with Rogers Sportsnet reporter Hazel Mae.
Quote:
Mae’s lawyer released a statement Saturday stating her support of the lawsuit. She is still considering her legal options.

“Brian has decided that it is time to stop people who post comments on the Internet from thinking they can fabricate wild stories with impunity,” Gall said. “Brian is determined to find the authors of the lie about him and those who have circulated the lie.”

Most disagree but I believe Boston is a better matchup for the Leafs than Habs.

This Leafs team is more physical and won't be pushed around by the Bruins. Rask is good but isn't as experienced and successful in the post season as Thomas(balancing out Rask vs Reimer). Also, because they finally beat Boston a few eeks ago, they got that monkey off their back, snapped that losing streak and are more confident they can beat Bean Town's hockey team.

Montreal is too back and forth with Toronto, with each team giving and getting blown out. Montreal is better overall, especially on D led by Markov and Norris Trophy candidate Subban and despite giving up a slew of goals recently,Price is still a better and more trustworthy goaltender than Reimer.

That's my team had no doubt they'll make it,eventhough i don't think they'll go far. I like the underdogs though and wanted to see the Blue Jackets in over the Wild.

Good for Burke. What an awesome and potentially precedent setting case this could be. It will be nice to think of the possibility of media people and Internet warriors having g to take responsibility for this game they type or report as fact.

agreed. but tech savy people will continue to do whatever they want in the comments because they can simply block any attempt to actually track them. the problem is a lot of people are savy enough today to know how
