If they don't have a veteran backup goaltender for the playoffs, they'll choke second round, guaranteed.

What's up with Burke? Is this guy a complete moron?

He keeps saying that he wants to keep or trade this or that guy... just shut up, make up your mind and do something... anything... my God, Bobby.

The busiest day in the NHL is about to begin with the trade deadline. Sucks for the Leafs that Kaberle hurt himself last night. He likely was going to net them some decent prospects or high draft picks.

Sens should and hopefully will be active sellers to start rebuilding now instead waiting a couple years.

I don't think Kaberle was going anywhere unless some team really knocked the socks off of Burke with an offer. At what Kaberle makes, he's a bargain.

Sens have a really good base to build off of - and with a high draft selection, their rise back to the top shouldn't take that long.

Here's one for you Doc:

Sens send Vermette and a 2nd rounder to Columbus for injury prone goalie Pascale Leclaire.

I'll take it .... I think that's a steal for us. Leclaire when healthy is a fantastic goalie. Vermette's been a huge disappointment for Ottawa and I'm surprised we got what we did for him.

Sens also signed Kuba to a 3 year extension.

Leclaire is definitely a #1. But he has to stay healthy.
Vermette on a line with Nash would work. Win-win for both.

Yup, his health is a concern, but it could also be because of where he was playing too and not as motivated to get himself in better shape. Maybe being back in Canada will be a little more extra motivation for him to stay and remain healthy.

I don't know what Sather was thinking when he made that signing. He's not the same player. I hope it's true. Send him to the minors (or waivers), and free up a bit of cap space.

Yup, now you know that Sens fans were complaining about.

Biggest mistake Mucker made was signing Redden instead of Chara years ago.
