OK this is fucking hilarious. Actually it's also fucking insane--->

don't know if other people caught this, but TSN actually brought attention to the fact that Richard Peddie was mouthing the words of Cliff Fletcher's speach as Fletcher was saying them. Very bizarre if you ask me...
check out from the 4:45 time mark and on. Peddie is mouthing pretty much the entire speech..

WTF!

Did Peddie write the speech for Cliff?!

and Leaf fans all thought that things were going to be changed when Ferguson got canned... LOL!

Should also add that i'm pretty sure that Peddie stuck his hand under the table and inserted it into Cliff's ass so that he could control Fletcher's lips better.

uugh. i'm really disgusted with MLSE right now and just PRAY that this shit doesn't spill over into the Raptors' side of things.

LMAO ... that's actually pretty embarrassing, but doesn't surprise me.

So, did anyone catch the skills competition last night? That new breakaway challenge was a huge let down. I give Getzlaf and Ovechkin credit for at least attempting some tricks but other than that it was pretty embarrassing.

I think it was a great idea in theory but hard to implement in practice (the breakaway/shootout) competition.

But the commentators where brutal because they were hyping it up and painted a picture that it wasn't at all. I guess I kind of knew that it would be a letdown, so we can only hope for a better display next year.

Its only going to get better from here on out, the first slam dunk contest was nothing too special IIRC, add to the fact that the NHL only gave the players involved a week in advance to practice.

Next year they should make it so that the goalies cant come out of the crease and or poke check (that pokecheck by nabokov was so fucking stupid he shouldn't be invited back for singlehandedly ruining St. Louis chances). Also make the competion available to anyone who wants to join like the young guys like kane or gagner, or have someone like huselius who can actually do tricks and get it passed the goalie.

check out these huselius moves that he pulled during calgary flames' own skills competition a week before the all star, second one was from last year.

The stick through the legs was amazing like a crossover!

any of these tricks would have won huselius the competition hands down.

so what's going on in Ottawa?

I heard on the FAN today that Emery came late to a team practice and there was speculation that he's played his last game as a Senator?!?!

I heard that he did this once before, but to trade him just for that? seems a bit strict. I mean dock him pay, suspend him, but it seems a little harsh to want to cut ties for coming late to a practice.

I've had enough too fancy. Its an embarrassment to this organization and his ego is out of control. According to Garioch from the Sun, Murray is trying very hard to deal him but it'll be tough because who's going to want t player with all this excess baggage?

Anyhow, they're also talking about re-entry waivers for Emery which would allow the Sens to send him back to the minors for discipline purposes, but also allow the Sens to put him on waivers which the only way we benefit is from a cost saving perspective.

Anyhow, good riddance to Ray and I hope he's played his last game as a Senator.

We think his ego is bad in Ottawa, could you imagine him in either NY or LA?

Ian Mendes had a great story on sportsnet.ca - Trade Emery to Chicago for Khabibulin.

Emery gets a fresh start, he fits in with the other youngsters and the Sens get a play-off caliber goaltender.

Where do I sign?

Anyhow, hasn't (and isn't he still) Khabibulin been injured all season long?

I know he's been injured off an on..but he's played 35 games this season. That's a huge contract to take on. Maybe the Sens do Fleury for Emery?

Well, something is going to happen before the deadline because I know Murray wants another Top 6 forward, so there might be a bigger deal to be had that will involve Emery.

Sundin, Toskala to Ottawa for Emery, Nick Foligno, Brian Lee, Andrej Meszaros and a 1st round selection. That's a great deal for everyone. That deal alone pretty much puts Ottawa over the top, and the Leafs get a young goalie, 2 emerging defenseman, a player to play with Stajan and Steen and a 1st rounder.

Yeah, I don't think they'll ever be a trade done between the Leafs and Sens.

But, I would love Mats on my team.

You need that FOX tracker, Bel. In the mid 90;s, FOX sports when they televised hockey, whenever someone shot the puck hard, you would see a red laser/stream/tail from the back of it.

Garrioch is probably the worst source for hockey trade news. Emery is unhappy being back up but it also does not help when he's acting like an ice queen.

Ive read this proposal from other hockey threads, and they have Emery and Joe Corvo going to Tampa Bay for Dan Boyle and Vinny Prospal, Tampa needs a #1 goalie really bad and this should work out for both teams.
