Means quite a bit. If I was Howson, I wouldn't want my ex player scoring on us 8 games a year(or is it 6?). Nash on a line with Datsyuk would destroy.

hurricaines just signed Alexander Semin. Looks like they will make some noise next season.

Here's an example of a team doing it right. They have a good run or two, then they fall out of competetion, then quickly within a couple of years they retool and boom they're back in the mix. All the while they never bottom out. Like fuck BUrke, take some goddam notes.

Burke is too worried about what is best for the NHL as oppose to doing his job ..... Making the Leafs a winning team

Yea the Canes are back in the mix, Ruutu, Skinner, Stall bros, Semin, those are some pretty good forwards to go along with Ward.

Fucking Leafs.

If we EVER had capspace, we might be able to do something. Problem is we've been handcuffed most years, and all our contracts are garbage 3rd and 4th line players... None of the GMs of recent past have done a good job.

I am amazed that the anti-NHL Jackals have yet to talk about the Lock out.

Maybe the networks will show more Basketball for yo all now!

there bigger concerning nhl things going on like locking up eberle. i haven't really paid much attention to how the negotiations been going, but they don't seem that violent so far. both the nba and nfl lock-outs were ugly long before the season ended.

Until the Oilers have to trade one of them because they're beyond broke.
Just, hopefully not to the leafs, screw the leafs lol.

they won't go broke. hall's contract is going to be the measuring stick for the young guys. they'll be able to afford playing all of hall, nuge, eberle and yak 24 million per season (w/o considerations of the rollback). we're sitting pretty right now with our cap, especially when we have the ugly contracts of bulin and horcoff to eventually expire before either nuge's or yak's contract extensions would kick in. this isn't the oilers pre-cap. we have a committed owner.

There's only so many games you can win with AHL defensemen, though.

our defence is decent, but our defensive prospect pool is pretty awesome.

schultz, klefbom and potential top pairing d-men and we have dudes like gernat, musil and marincin creating a buzz in the juniors. our window will be six years to develop these guys.
