Anyways, if you ask me it seems like his injury is more mental at this point than anything actually physical.
Um..."only" soft tissue damage?

It;'s still an issue, and very hard to fix, it just isn't speculated that its post concussion syndrome. Hardly mental my friend.

Well, I guess Sam Ganger's trade deadline stock just went up. /captain obvious/

He has lots of skill. It's weird how he can't put it together consistently. A couple of years ago, I remember hearing about how great this guy was supposedly going to be (same with Cogliano and Nielsen, both of whom are gone), but he hasn't done that much. It's too bad that Ganger only shows flashes. If he could put it together, the Oilers would have two of the deadliest lines in the West. Hall, Eberle and Nugent-Hop are dope. Add a consistent Sam Ganger, and going forward the Oilers would look scary.

I say only because we're not talking about a fracture here. obviously that's a big difference. I'm no doctor and i haven't talked to sid myself, but don't you think it's a bit odd that he's been out for so long at this point. the diagnoses have been even hard to find from the doctors. One doctor says this, one says that.... Remember too that a soft tissue injury means exactly what it says. There's nothing neurologically involved. Obviously i am basing it on nothing when i say it's mental, but some people can better cope metally with some things than others. you know about the placebo effect right? Same thing could be happening here but in reverse.

I hope for their sake they don't trade Gagner. They're being set up for long term success. I say in 2 years, they will be a force in the league and will remain one for another 10 years. Envy of the league.

people tend to forget that gagne is only 22 years old. i really hope we hold on to him, but with that said, you can't ignore how small our top six our and how below average our defence are. i'd like to keep him, but if it means getting a top four defencemen, tambo is gonna have consider parting ways. i just hope hemsky still has decent value around the league to save this from happening.

also, it's funny. the oilers fanbase is quite horrible. they have a tendency for running players out of town. at the beginning of the season, it was gagne until this happened

and now everyone loves him

Have been watching the Habs/Caps game while doing some housework...can't believe how bad the Habs are...Caps aren't much better(i don't think Ovechkin had a shot on net)
3/0 Caps was the final...but holy Jebus that was a boring game

Needless to say i've been sending some nasty texts to my brother in Montreal

Yeah, I did, too. Since he started out as a teenager, it feels like he's been in the league for a while. Also, he showed a lot of promise during his rookie season, so I guess I just expected him to be a 65 points per year guy by now. 22 is still really young. He might be that 60+ points second liner soon. Some guys don't even start to hit their best years until after 22.

Imho...you keep him...just too much upside to get rid of at this point

I'd be looking to trade Smyth to a contender for a young D
Oilers need D...period

I actually prefer him over the other guys.

Leafs are dominating so far, hopefully they can shut the sens down in the 3rd.
Oh and how slow is steckel?, 2 on 1 turns into a 2 on 2. I wonder who's slower steckel with the puck or aaron gray with a ball lol.

I used to love listening to Bob...but i find that his age is catching up to his announcing
Leafs have looked good tonite(so far )...particularly Reimer...square with quiet hands and feet

Edit...another oustanding pass by Kessel...3/0

So glad I didn't drop him from my fantasy team. It's a money pool!

Speaking of fantasy teams, Ganger has another 3 points tonight and the game is not over. I totally want to add him to my team. Yahoo sucks. If a player was on your starting roster on a given day, you can't drop him until the next day, even if the game is over. The only guys I have on the bench are good players who didn't play tonight. I don't want to drop a good player. So now I have to wait until 2 A.M (it's set on Pacific time) to drop my crappiest player and pick up Ganger.

First World problems.

hasek had a 70 save shutout that went into 4ot's in the playoffs against nj with brodeur in net who stopped 49/50 shots, HOLY SHIT

that's the record for most saves in a shutout.

Especially since everyone else in the playoff fight is winning everything themselves.
