so Wilson goes into the 3rd period with a 3 goal lead yet still refuses to use a 1/2/2 to protect it...fucking idiot

and although Garbo had a great game last night, i think he was incredibly selfish when trying to get an empty net hat-trick instead of a soft dump-in late in the 3rd

yup. lots of mistakes. although before the match i would have been happy taking a point.

Tonight is a big one. Leafs proved themselves to be the better team last night. Let's see them follow through.

I'm very happy with the leaf players this year. THey play so hard but I think lacking in 3 areas (first two I mention especially)

1. More size and talent up the middle
2. Goaltending
3. PK

I really think Monster and Optimus Riem aren't the answer. If the Monster was really serious about being a starter he would have won that game vs. Pitt.

I really hope the beat Pitt tonight so at least they can say they got 3 points out of 4 against a hot team.

I'm just saying as a goalie going forward. Of late ya he has been great but what I'm saying is if Jonas won that game he would have shut the door completely on who was the starter for the rest of the season. Tonight Riemer is looking pretty good and yet again the Goalie situation is "who is the hot hand" rather than "Jonas has proven to take the job".

I guess I'm evaluating it on who really wants to be a legit premier starter. With Jonas having the shorter contract he is already playing at a disadvantage.

nice win. good for Reimer to get the massive shutout. MacArthur, Grabo and Kulemin on fire right now.

I really don't agree with sending down Kadri again.

i thought that was refuted and they said he only had a soft tissue injury of the neck?

Anyways, if you ask me it seems like his injury is more mental at this point than anything actually physical.

hahaha nice piece.

+1 to Chara and Lupul for being an indie hipster (well kind of).

-1 to Jarome Iginla and Tim Thomas.

and i liked the segway between Phaneuf and Iginla. funny.

I don't get the distaste for Nickleback. Many equally bad bands out there. I don't mind a couple of their songs and oh I like some Creed songs too so I guess I'll be barred for life in any music thread here.
