Very sad news. I remember him being a part of the backbone of the Canadian juniors blue line- and playing on the Moncton Wildcats in the Q. He was destined to be a real solid D-man in the show.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Wow....really really sad. I remember reading that the Canucks were just waiting on him to get up to the show and was a big reason why team's saw them as a potential threat later down on.

Really wish Pittsburgh had pulled it off tonight..... series is pretty much done now..... whereas it could have been epic.

I'm soooo happy. I can stand Sid and his Pens. I want the Wings to tear'em apart on Monday night back at home in the "Motor City".

Sorry, but I stopped caring about hockey back in April. The NHL REALLY needs to do something about their scheduling.

Absolutely... there's a 2 month stretch between March Madness and the NBA finals... That's where the NHL should have its final. It'd be all alone.

Superbowl
March Madness
NHL Final
NBA Final
Eurocup/World Cup/Olympics if they're on that year
Tennis season
World Series/Beginning of new seasons

Any of stay up for the game last night? It was awesome. I can't stand the Penguins, but kudos to Fleury last night because he was simply sensational.

That game was great. Pitt deserved to lose that game. They were outplayed pretty much ALL game. Good on MA Fleury though. He was a wall. I think Detroit wins it all Wednesday night.

I hope so Hoops, because I can take a Penguins win.

Looks like the Leafs are going to announce that Ron Wilson is going to be their new coach soon too eh?

I watched the first overtime and fell asleep during the second.

I can't believe the Penguins won because the Wings were owning them.

All the pieces are falling into place for the Leafs

Coach: Ron Wilson (formerly under Brian Burke)
Assistant GM: Dave Nonis - Burke's former right hand man in Vancouver
GM: Brian Burke - he was offered a contract extension by the Ducks, but won't sign. Rumours have already stated that Burke's wife quit her TV show in Vancouver so she could pursue a job in Toronto.

It's all great, Hoops..... only problem is that I can't fucking stand Burke. He's such as ass.

So, if he comes, we'd better win, otherwise it will be a nightmare of unrivalled proportion. lol.

Could you imagine if Tortorella was coach in Toronto? Tortorella and Burke? Holy hell.

An ass that can likely turn around a franchise that's been going nowhere but down. I can't stand Burke either, but he's probably the most respected GM in all of hockey. Toronto should feel honored if they can land him.

Anyone catch Tiger Woods' opinions on the Stanley Cup finals?

when asked at a PGA press conference who he thought would win, he goes: "I don't care.... Nobody even watches hockey anymore."

Ouch!

I thought he would be more diplomatic in his answer even if he really didn't care, but that was harsh!

What the hell? It's been 10 hrs since the most important moment of every NHL season and not one comment yet?? Shame on all of you Canadians there!!

I really wish PIT would've won, all cuz of the goal Fleury tipped in, but you can't blame the dude one bit, he was the Saviour of Game 5 and he also played stellar last night as well.

Kudos to both teams there, Detroit's one hell of a team and its about time for them to not choke in the playoffs after clinching the President's every year, they really wanted this cup, and they got it.
