Against Ottawa the Ducks could put the Pahlsson checking line and Pronger/Neidermayer against the Sens' big one and it would be lights out... Dallas on the other hand has Ribiero, Richards, and Modano on different lines. I also think losing McDonald and Selanne in his 50 goal year as opposed to here for fun year, hurts.

Jesus Doc what the hell's up with your Sens. I got them in a pool and they're ruining it to a team who last made the playoffs like 8 years ago.

Sens made it interesting last night, but just couldn't seal the deal. Kudos to Gerber though. Everyone said that the goaltending was going to be an issue, but he's been standing on his head keeping us in game.

WOW, what a game between the Habs and Bruins. Sorry ACIE.

The atmosphere at the Bell Centre is so freakin' electric. I can't get over how loud they are. The goal they just scored to win in overtime, the area is deafening. Kudos to the Habs.

Bruins are dumbbbbb. Only so many straight penalties you can kill off against the Habs.

If they won this, they might've had a chance... would've broken the streak, and the Montreal press would've absolutely shit on Kovalev and maybe screwed up their chem. a bit.

Yeah Kovalev is one damn lucky shit for drawing that stupid slashing penalty. I honestly don't know who to go for, Montreal to bring the cup in Canada, or Boston, because as a Leaf fan i'm supposed to hate the Habs so I'm puzzled right now..

Great game tonight.

Bruins just don't have the horses, but they're showing some fight.

Gratz Acie. A great game to watch indeed. I'm still not sure who to cheer for though..

Sorry Hoops, but Avery is the biggest douchebag know to man. I know there's nothing in the rule books for screening a goaltender, but what he was doing in front of Brodeur was brutal and unacceptable in my opinion.

Oh shat up.....it was brilliant.....only Avery can make the NHL change the rule book. Perhaps if Ottawa had a guy like him, they wouldn't be getting bitchslapped all over the ice....Bottom line is Avery is Darcy Tucker with skill, the guy is good...and teams hate him...only downside is he may have pissed Marty off enough to make Marty win the series all by himself. The refs allowing Brodeur to punch him in the face and stick him in the nuts was the only thing wrong with that play.

If I were Brodeur I would've stuck my face out and let him hit me with his stick.

Although the refs did look the other way when he got speared in the nuts.

Unless Avery can personally stop Malkin, Sykora and Sid then I don't see how we benefit from having an Avery. We're just plain awful all round, plain and simple. I'll admit he plays his role to a tee, but his antics was ridiculous the other night and was over the top.

If the Rangers make it by the 1st round and draw the Pens in the next series, I think Avery can get under the skin of both Malkin and Crosby. Look at what he did last year against Kovalchuk and Hossa. That team (Pitt) has a lot of firepower and a lot of veteran leadership, but their goaltending is really questionnable.

It's one thing if Avery is just gooing it up, but he's not. He's got 3 goals in this series, so it's a moot point. Look at what Claude Lemieux used to do. In the regular season, he was nowhere to be found, but once the playoffs came, he was money - getting under everyone's skin, scoring big goals, etc. This is what he's paid to do. And the Rangers have a fantastic record with him in the linup as opposed to when he's out.

Exactly. Well said.

Some people don't realize that some players are paid to do things like this. I want NYR to move on next series, but against OTT not PIT. Sure Avery can be an ass some times (coming from a Leaf fan) but he's doing the right think in a way. He wants his team to be in the Cup finals, so he'll make it that way. And besides, it's not like this is the first time he's done something like this. It's his job.

*slitting my wrists*

The nail is pretty much in the coffin now for the Sens. I just want this misery to end now.

Honestly, I would've never expected the Sens to be sweeped by the Pens in the first round. But they could at least try and go for it. I mean it's not like it's impossible to come back with 4 wins in a row. The last team to do that were the........

Well .. at least the pain and suffering is officially over. Let the rebuilding begin.

Only good thing about tonight's elimination, Redden is finished as a Senator. I've fuckin' hated that overrated piece of shit for over 5 or 6 years now. Good riddance.
