Notre Dame is fools gold...
coaching there would be a disaster for anyone trying to make a name for themselves... the Irish cant compete with the other schools anymore... they need to start cutting back on their educational requirements if they wanna compete... the best players are usually the dumb ones. LOL.

He signed an extension at Stanford, but don't think for a second that he won't find a loophole to get out of that gig to coach at his alma mater.

the guy coaches at Stanford, high academic requirements, so he's used to it
Notre Dame is the only school with their own TV contract (NBC) and they can make their own schedule because they have no conference alliance. Big $$$ potential if he's the one that resurrects the program

When the Packers get Aaron Rogers a defensive line he will be crowned the best QB in the league. What he does through scrambling and dodging virtually unguarded blitzes is amazing. The guy is amazing. He's the most mobile starting QB in the league. He can get out and run like Flutie and he has an arm on him like a gunslinger. If Favre were in GB this year starting he would have had a horrible year because he would not be able to avoid the pressure and create time to make the right plays and as such he would be forcing the issue and tossing picks. Favre is having an amazing season because he stands behind the best O-line in the league. He has all the time in the world.

That's a pretty big generalization. From time to time he does hold it too long but if he were getting protection in the pocket the issue wouldn't even be visible. I'd rather him old on to it and get hammered into the dirt than pitch it down field and get picked into double or triple coverage. Sometimes he could try to toss it away but its not always easy to toss it O.B. ahead of the marker when you have two or three 300LBS men breathing down your neck from two different directions. I'm telling you, when he gets help he's going to be #1 in the league.

he doesn't throw many picks b/c he doesn't rush to throw like Cutler, so he gets sacked in the process
pick you poison really, I'm sure you would rather have possession
The line in GB was pieced together earlier this year and there have been injuries, they need some time with each other

They need more than that. I watch every game, believe me I know. Most of the sacks Roger has on the stat sheet are plays where he did nothing wrong. He couldn't escape and he had no safe option to get rid of it. If it were a guy like Manning or Brady they would have more sacks because they're not nearly as mobile as Rogers. He gets blind sided too many times. Its amazing he still trusts his line at all. They also get penalized a lot with bull shit stuff that even a rookie should know. The line is constantly shooting the offense in the foot with missed blocks and penalties.

If I could get tickets on the cheap for Thursday, I'd go, but they'd have to be in the lower level. The upper level at the dome under the roof is stifiling.

Ryan, whose parents were divorced, lived in Toronto with his twin brother Rob and older brother Jim from the ages of three until 15. That's when their mother, Doris, decided they should move in with their father, Buddy, who was then a coach on the Minnesota Vikings' staff.

Rex Ryan is heading back to the city where he spent his formative years Thursday when the Jets take on the Buffalo Bills at the Rogers Centre.

"Toronto is a great town," he said. "I never thought I'd see the day where the NFL would be playing a game in Toronto. I certainly never envisioned myself coaching a team that would be playing in Toronto. It's a great opportunity for us. It's a great town, and, hopefully, we can convert some of those hockey fans to become New York Jets fans.

its not an upset when the NFC champs beat the Vikings, who've had the easiest schedule in the league

What happened to the Steelers and Patriots defenses? not a strong point anymore
The Saints were very fortunate to win that game
Meachem stripping the ball after an INT and returning it for 6
Skins miss a 20 yard FG
call a time out before the next play so the fumble could be challenged and they get the ball in OT
