Jets and Vikings have similar O-lines
remember Thomas Jones and Washington had big years last year, so he had some help
There will be a point where he forces passes and throws picks , he is the all time leader in INT's
you can't run it all the time b/c the D will stack the box, Vikes averaged 2.1 yards per carry yesterday
the Vikes do have a better D than the 08 Jets, which will take them further

just wait and see, Jets looked good 10-12 games into last season

Fuck Brett Favre. And Screw Donald Lee for dropping a TD pass which would've shifted the momentum.

If Rodgers had ANY O-Line, he'd have a high % of completions. But the O-Line is brutal.

he's also the all-time leader in TD's.... So that same arguement can be made.
but you're right on point about the D. Other than that one really good drive in the 4th that Green Bay had, look at how the Viking Defense absolutely destroyed Green Bay... they got stuffed in their own zone and in the red zone. quite impressive.

I can't wait until Favre breaks down and the team continues to excel, and I can feel much better about enjoying it.

After months of holding out, wide receiver Michael Crabtree has agreed to a contract with the San Francisco 49ers, league sources tell ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Crabtree will get a six-year deal that he can void to five years if he meets undefined performance clauses, a league source told ESPN's Michael Smith.

The 22-year-old Crabtree is expected to report to the team's training facility Wednesday.
San Francisco 49ers, Michael Crabtree agree to contract - ESPN

Quote:
The day included a trip to the hotel where the negotiations between the 49ers and Michael Crabtree were taking place. It included team president Jed York seeing me before I saw him on his way out of the hotel and taking an escape route through the hotel restaurant. It included a mysterious man with York - someone I immediately thought resembled MC Hammer - apparently asking the door man to assist in team president Jed York's departure from the property. It was Hammer. And although one hotel employee told me Crabtree said to Hammer, "Get it done," as he entered the SUV, it's safe to say that Hammer has no role in the negotiations. Hammer is long time friends with Deion Sanders and Crabtree's agent, Eugene Parker. Sanders is a mentor for Crabtree.

probably got the deal done b/c he saw the Niners doing well w/o him and the longer he waited the less money he would get
and lets face it, he wasn't going to be a top 10 pick like he was last draft

nice find Windex, i knew they were in talks.... good to see its signed and done.
crabtree better have his shit together because he will be under the microscope all year now, and players are going to go after him even harder because he's come off like a selfish punk.

you think he's going to get PT this year?
I don't think he's played or practiced for a long time and he hasn't adjusted to NFL speed in the preseason
if the Niners are rolling I don't think they want to mess with success
I think its safe to say we won't see him on the field this season

The Cleveland Browns have agreed to trade troubled wide receiver Braylon Edwards to the New York Jets.

In the deal, first reported by ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, the Jets agreed to send key special teams player Jason Trusnik, wide receiver Chansi Stuckey and a pair of draft picks to Cleveland.

In Edwards, the Jets obtained a receiver that gives rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez the legitimate deep threat that the Jets have lacked -- and a player facing an NFL investigation for off-the-field trouble.

i definitely think he'll be playing soon... give him about 3 weeks and he'll be inserted as the 4th WR.
they wont pay this guy that much and pretty much just give him the year off to train. he's going to get a few weeks to practice and get in game shape, and then they'll throw him to the dogs.
in his defense, i heard he was training very hard over the last few months (even training with former olympian michael johnson to work on speed)... so i'm sure his in top shape.

sure, as a 4th WR, but in on a run 1st team that isn't going to result in many receptions
he's behind Davis/Morgan/Bruce for sure
I just don't expect him to be a factor this season, just a couple 3 reception games here and there

I think if anything, the layoff helped Crabtree rest up to the point where he's now 100%. Give him 3 weeks to learn the plays and to mesh with his teammates - he'll be helluva dynamic.

As for the Jets with the pickup of Braylon Edwards - that guy is a total cancer..doesn't help that he has a bout of dropitis.

agreed, but remember Davis is a TE, so moving up to 3rd or 2nd WR by the end of the year isnt out of the question... as long as he plays well... the 9'ers see how much potential he's got, they wont let him slide into mediocrity.

I thought Stuckey and Sanchez were developing some chemistry
we'll see how long it takes him to get frustrated when Edwards drops the ball repeatedly

The Jets overpaid for Edwards. You know the Browns were doing backflips when New Jersey/B agreed to take his contract.
Edwards had one good year and that was it. If they got Brandon Marshall, it would have been a different story.

i actually like Edwards...
put him with a good QB and he'll make noise. seriosuly though, Quinn, Andersen, etc... they couldnt utilize his skills.
Sanchez now has a big option down the field.
on a winning team, edwards will be happy and he'll do well.

Quinn and ANderson were getting him the ball. He keeps dropping it though. Anderson got him the ball all the way to the Pro Bowl a couple of years ago. I'm thinking that was the year Edwards got away with putting Stickum on his gloves.

Sanchez would be better off throwing it to Cotchery. You know he's actually going to hold onto the ball.
