LOL! I love how they make it look like Kapernick is the first one to do that motion (the one after he ran in his touchdowns) fuckin scott stiener in wrestling was the first, sports people are retarded.

Um, it was needed because skin color did matter, and only white people got jobs coaching and management. If you could assure that the best candidate would be hired then you would obviously have hiring of non-whites. The policy reinforces that idea, rather than negate it as you seem to suggest. Wow.

OH GOD ONLY WHITE PEOPLE GOT THE JOBS! THE LEAGUES RACIST! No... You ever think they were the best candidates? Skin color has nothing to do with anything. (Before making another dumb assumption, I'm talking about present day, not the passed when the world actually still held a ton of racism).

I never suggested anything either, don't make your assumptions of something I didn't even remotely suggest.

This rule basically suggests if too many people hire a white you coach, then you're going to have to hire a black coach just because. The rule is trash, and so is anyone who thinks they pick a coach based on race.

A GM is going to hire a coach that they feel is going to do the best job with the team they have currently assembled, and with where they are going. Not because he black, white, Mexican, or whatever else.

Garbage like this is what reinforces racism in peoples minds, not make it go away. If you don't agree, good for you.

Where did I say anything about the league being racist? You don't have to be a racist to be effected by bias. And people Do exhibit a bias. Even today. You need a policy that ensures a level playing field and an equal opportunity, otherwise the bias of hiring those more like one's self takes over. And no you don't hire anyone just because. That's a knee-jerk reaction that misrepresents the policy. You make sure that qualifications come to bear above and beyond all else, and if the numbers of hirings don't match representation in the population, you have pretty clear evidence of that not being done.

It's hardly garbage. It's an unmitigated success. As is the case with the US military, various police forces, government agencies of all kinds, and on and on. What century are you living in?

Apparently I'm living in the wrong one, or society is still more fucked than it will ever recover from. If you need policies to enforce equality and equal opportunity then people are still living in the past. Plain and simple, credentials matter, not skin color.

Totally un-related to all that, why has New Orleans been able to host so many super bowls in comparison to other cities? What makes them so much privileged over other cities? Shouldn't every city of a team get to do it before it gets repeated? Just curious.

they have a dome (good facility), decent weather and experience hosting big sporting events

I think more than half of the super bowls have been in nola, miami, arizona or la. basically the same sites of college BCS bowl games.

I can understand that because people don't want to deal with the elements. But I want a snowbowl... Thats what makes football games! I wouldn't want it every year, but a nice snowbowl would be awesome to see every now and then.

None of it seems fair to other cities with teams though. Why should their fans never have the chance to experience it like the usual candidates do?

next year is in New York so you might get a SB with snow

- stadium must have at least 70,000 seats
- avg temp in Jan must be at least 50 degrees, or the stadium must be domed
- there must be at least 24,500 hotel rooms within an hour of the stadium

Ohhh, never realized there were temperature/dome stipulations like that. The seating and hotels I knew.
