if there's a better opportunity in the NFC he'll go there. Why would he even bother meeting with the Cards if he has his heart set on meeting him at the SB?

I think Cards is the best fit for Peyton. They have fabulous weapons and he'd just kill it there imho.

Denver wouldn't be bad either and I'm with Windex Peyton isn't going to choose a team just in the AFC. He has to choose the best option for him. Its not like he can pick a fantasy team or something. He has to weigh in everything and personally a guy like Fitz would be a dealbreaker.

The salary cap is projected to be $120.6 million in 2012, but the Cowboys will lose $10 million, while the Redskins will be docked $36 million in cap space, sources said.

Dallas and Washington can split the cap loss over the 2012 and '13 seasons in whatever form they prefer, with $1.6 million each going to 28 other NFL teams, the sources said.

The New Orleans Saints and Oakland Raiders are the only two teams that will not receive a portion of the money.

During the pre-lockout 2010 season, the collective bargaining agreement expired and the league operated without a salary cap.

According to sources, the Cowboys and Redskins took immediate cap hits during the 2010 season that normally would have been spread out over the length of the contracts, giving them an advantage that other NFL owners found unfair.

The league took an abnormally long time to release the 2012 cap number, due in part to the fact that the league was trying to decide how to handle the issues, the sources said.

According to the sources, the deductions are not termed as violations, but are part of a recent agreement the NFL and the Players Association made to raise the salary cap number while preserving benefit increases and the performance pool.

I'm not disagreeing, I'm just saying thats what he was quoted on saying. He hopes for a good situation with an AFC team for that reason, but never ruled out or really had anything against the NFC.

I agree though in thinking he'll probably end up somewhere in the nfc.

I wonder how happy the Texans are about everything going on with indy lol.

True but its not like the offense will go ariel. Its a total ball control team I don't really seeing them loosen up that much

Megatron stackin paper to the ceiling

Quote:
An NFL source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter that the contract is worth $132 million and includes $60 million guaranteed. Johnson's contract is the richest deal ever for an NFL wide receiver, exceeding the $120 million deal Larry Fitzgerald signed with the Arizona Cardinals last year.

Here come the 49ers!!!!

ESPN reporting 49ers are the sleeper team and now in the Final 3 to get Peyton(with Tennessee & Denver).

49ers watch Peyton work out and gave him a physical. If Peyton wants to win a SB, this is his best team to go to for it to happen!

And now you can add WR Mario Manningham to the targets. 2 year deal with the 49ers today.

If Manning wants to win SBs, SF is the best spot for him.

Flynn to Seattle. now Alex Smith is visiting Miami. Hope Manning makes his decision before Smith decides because San Fran could be left without a starting QB.

Talk about worst case scenario. LOL

My friend and I were talking about also. I just said I'm going to sit back and wait to see what happens.
