No other MMA organization can compete with UFCs all around talent. However; I think its a waste of my money and time to watch a UFC with only one good fight on it. UFC has become watered down the past couple of years and for that I'm just going to watch cards that I feel are worth it.

Just think of it one MMA fight is maxium 9min to 15min clearly not enough time for me to justify a night. I'll stick to Money Maywheather fights they are well worth the buck I pay for them

Josh Koscheck vs Anthony Rumble Johnson gonna replace the Brock fight at ufc 106. Not a great replacement but it shouldnt be a bad match.

Just make a reservation at boston pizza, it's free to watch there. That's what me and my buddies do when there's a good card.

Yes I usually watch UFC PPVs at the bar. However; that still doesn't change the fact it wastes my time and I could be doing something better like watching a PVR of a Raptor game

OK... lol... so I've calmed down a bit now and can finally talk RATIONALLY about this fight.

Yes, Shogun got hit.

Yes, Machida is the champ and as such deserves the benefit of the doubt.

But I was looking at it this way..... When you go back and watch the last round Machida looked GASSED. He looked beat up... he looked like he'd been in a fight.

Shogun was fresh. He was bouncing around the octagon like it was Rd. 1. He was also the aggressor for nearly the whole fight. HE was the one that was moving forward consistently.

I understand Shogun's gameplan. He watched Machida DESTROY people with counter-punching and resolved that he wasn't going to over-expose himself unless he had a chance to knock him out.

Smart.

Machida looked confused and he couldn't time Shogun nearly as well as he set up his other opponents in the past.

I'm definitely looking fwd. to the rematch. Except I hope that I don't have to watch it at same bar with the same dolts that I did this time.... I had to stand next to 2 guys screaming at Shogun & Machida, calling them "pussies" for not charging in and throwing bombs at each other lol.... idiots.

.
Torap, what do appearances have to do with anything?

yes Machida was LOOKED tired.

Yes Shogun was satisfied with his efforts before the fight was even over, doing some cocky ass bouncing around. He was clearly quite proud of himself.

Yet if you watch that last round again, Machida had the two flurries of punches in the final round.

The arguement for Machida winning is that he had Shogun in danger more times which is true. Shogun landed more strikes though. Also Machida stuffed every takedown attempt by Shogun which shows better grappling skills and control. Iwould've gave the bout to Shogun though but I'm not a judge.

"Cocky-ass bouncing around"? What was he supposed to do? FAKE being tired?

Machida was desperate in the last round. He KNEW that he was probably behind and finally starting taking chances in the last round. I didn't think that it was enough though... that's just me.

Again.. at the end of the fight Machida looked beat up.... Shogun didn't.

In a close fight that has to have some bearing on the decision.

Shogun just didn't do enough to earn the title. However, he did do enough to earn a rematch.

I wonder of Spike will show the card live which will be around 2-3pm.

Also, I was wondering ......

Do you think Dana White is not renewing Dan Henderson because he kicked the living crap out of BIG DRAW Bisbing and just wants to hide that blemish of a loss?

TSK TSK UFC your being more WWE by the day

UFC middleweight champ Anderson Silva will not defend his title Jan. 2 at UFC 108 against Vitor Belfort.

Ed Soares, the manager for Silva, told ESPN.com today that his fighter is still recovering from elbow surgery. The elbow isn't expected to fully heal in time for the scheduled bout with Belfort.
