Faber would likely knock his ass out in under 3 minutes.

Again, I mock MMA fighting. But I hope you guys can understand why. Until they treat this like a sport, and not a fucking sideshow attraction, why, would ANYONE give this shit any respect. There is respectable talent, and honorable people training hard, and who have trained hard their whole lives to participate in this sport.... why the fuck do I have to look at some Juice head that has NO CLUE what he is doing???

#MMASTILLLACKSINTEGRITY
I completely agree with the bolded. But, I'm just wondering how you reached the conclusion of MMA lacking integrity just because a very small time show featured a bout with Batista.

You've got to give Batista at least a little bit of respect. He's been training full time in MMA for 5 years now with Caesar Gracie. He's not looking for a free pass like how Lesnar and Lashley did.

His stand up looked horrible but it was because his nerves got the best of him. He's 43 years old so I doubt he has any plans to make it big time anyway.

You're a fan and live in a vacuum. Fans of any sport all do, we forget that other people don't really care as much and see things from a much different angle. I'm talking about the perception from the outside. It's not very positive, and every time something silly happens and it's highlighted in any way.... you'll just see more and more dirt tossed the sports way.

I don't think a small time show should affect the overall image of MMA.

As an avid fan, maybe my view on MMA is kinda clouded though.

If he's actually doing this for the competition and love for MMA, that would be very respectable.

If that's the case then I question what the hell they've been teaching him TBH.

Sometimes I think that some of these coaches complicate the training/gameplans a bit too much for their fighters. With Batista, dude is a big, athletic monster. Teach him some basic head movement and how to throw a straight left and straight right.... maybe some knees in the clinch and then just work on that over & over again. He should have blown that guy out of there in under a minute.

Thats awesome guys. Jason Miller is likely my favourite guy in the UFC now, he's a character. This was set up and went exactly as scripted, trust me. It was perfect really.

Since being cut from the UFC in May, Mayhem Miller has been going through some rough times. On August 13th Mayhem was found naked in a church after allegedly trashing the establishment. Rumors being to swirl that Mayhem was on drugs and he was a psychopath.

Ariel Helwani’s purpose was to see how Mayhem was psychologically and to give Mayhem a chance to tell his side of the story to his fans. With Mayhem not breaking out of character, this leaves many MMA fans wondering if Mayhem is ok and if he is not a danger to himself or others.

Silva is a beast.
Bonner isn't good enough to be his sparring partner.

It's hard to appreciate Silva's record for what it is when he fights cans like this.

That was flat-out embarrassing.

It was the same when I searched for it a few years ago.

How many 'cans' has Anderson fought in the UFC?

Anderson has the most ranked wins in UFC history, that's more than GSP, Bones, anybody. He's consistently fought and beaten the best competition (for the most part) the UFC has to offer. He's the greatest mixed martial artist that's ever lived and it's not really that much of an argument.

Yes, Bonnar is a mediocre fighter, but he definately isn't a can. Furthermore, Bonnar has never been finished in his career (Jon Jones, Machida, Griffin and Rashad were not able to finish him), but Anderson did it with EASE. Also, you have to remember that this was a replacement fight, Anderson wanted to save this card. This fight would've never been made well in advance.

Finally, NO elite fighter in any combat sport would take a short notice fight with a highly ranked opponent that is a weight class above their own.

Cans? He's unquestionably the best MMA fighter ever at the moment. Jones is the only guy who has the potential to over take him.
