When I watched the fight to my friend I thought DIaz was gonna win just because of aggressiveness. You never EVER know what the judges think. Personally I think they should change the scoring system for MMA. THey use the 10 point per round scoring system as they do in boxing but MMA is way more complex.

Diaz got his face pounded. End of story.
I swear I heard his own corner tell him he was don 3-1 after the fourth round.
I think they were just disappointed with the way the fight went down. Everybody, and I mean everybody, was expecting this fight to a back and forth war with knockdowns, blood, and everything else.

Actually, his corner was telling him he was winning every round. It's pretty crazy, they should've at least told him the rounds were close.

Muhammad Ali was a bitch for fighting off the ropes too.

meh. evs.
Condit out-landed Diaz 151-105, not sure where you got 3-1 pace from.

LOOL @ GSP beating Silva easily. I will say that stylistically, GSP does have an advantage. Other than holding down Silva for 5 rounds, I can't see how GSP wins that fight.

I think that's the thing though... most people feel like he DIDN'T win it easily... seems like most people think it could have easily gone the other way.

Diaz had a couple of bumps to the face but he didn't look like ANY of those shots bothered him in the least. He kept moving forward and pressing the pace.

Griffin/Rampage was a much better example (IMO) of a fighter who went in there with a clear gameplan and carried it out effectively. The leg kicks that Forrest gave to Q just destroyed his leg by the end of the fight. He could barely walk after.

You just didn't see that same damage to Diaz from Condit.

Franky Edgar vs Ben Henderson
Ryan Bader vs Rampage Jackson
Cheick Kongo vs Mark Hunt
Jake Shields vs Yoshihiro Akiyama
Joe Lauzon vs Anthony Pettis

Ben Henderson by submission. This fight is going to be amazing.

I think Bader is a good matchup for Jackson. I don't see Bader winning the fight unless he can keep Jackson on the ground for the entire fight which I don't see happening. I'd say Rampage by KO. Plus it's basically going to be home turf for Rampage. I think the crowd will be on his side.
Bader is not that good and like you said, he's a very favourable match-up for 'Page. Rampage should easily win and KO Bader. Although I think a UD victory is a bit more likely, since he hasn't recorded a [T]KO in over 3 years. Hopefully the Japanese crowd lights a fire under Rampage.

Frankie vs Bendo is going to really good! Edgar has the wrestling and striking advantage, while Henderson has only a size and BJJ advantage. Bendo is going to have to use his size and strength to keep Frankie on the fence and grind him out because he's not going to out-strike or out-wrestle Frankie. I see Edgar keeping the fight standing and soundly out-striking Bendo to a UD win. I'm going to be sad to see either fighter lose, I'm fan of both these guys.

I got Shields by submission, interesting match-up.

Kongo vs Hunt is a dream match-up IF they decide to strike. Unfortunately, I see Kongo taking Hunt down and pounding on him for 3 rounds. I hope they decide to stand and trade, because both fighters have power and are excellent strikers. Kongo by UD.

Lauzon vs. Pettis is going to be the fight of the night [along with Edger/Bendo]. Lauzon is a BEAST, great striker with a brutal pace and really good BJJ. Pettis is very similar in the sense that he also is a great striker, with excellent BJJ. Don't forget, Pettis beat Bendo about a year ago in an epic battle and was in line for a title shot before getting out-wrestled by Guida. This fight could easily go both ways, although I see Pettis by UD.

I want Pettis to win so that he can rematch Henderson. Even a fight between him and Edgar would be war. I remember when Guida hugged Pettis during there last fight for every round. So lame.

I watched the Sanchez vs Ellenberger fight last night and it was one heck of a fight. Both guys never let up.

That should have been a 5 rnd fight. Could have been FOTY. And Sanchez might've pulled it out.

^ Great fight, very exciting. Diego's performance really impressed me, I thought Ellenberger was going to steamroll Diego. It looks like Ellenberger will face Hendricks (assuming he gets passed Koscheck) for the next title shot after Condit.

I don't think they will give a title shot to Pettis if he beats Lauzon. The winner of that fight will likely face the winner of Jim Miller vs. Nate Diaz in a #1 contendership bout.

The fight with Big Foot fell through, Cain Velazquez is now facing Frank Mir. I got Cain by 2nd round TKO, not going to be a good night for Mir.

Agreed, I think Diego would've taken the next two rounds [if it was a 5 rounder], Ellenberger was gassed out.

Britney Palmer and Chandella had some 'pictures' leak :O
