Read that yesterday and eyes got a little wet.

It was a great story throughout the year with Payne and her. Sad to hear that, RIP Lacey.

canadian fsu guard xavier rathan-mayes scores 30 in last 4 1/2 minutes against miami. in a loss. wow.

Quote:
CORAL GABLES, Fla. -- With his team desperate for baskets, Xavier Rathan-Mayes couldn't miss. He scored 30 points in the final 4:38, and even that wasn't enough to beat the Miami Hurricanes.

Miami built an 18-point lead and survived the late heroics by Florida State's freshman guard to win 81-77 on Wednesday.

Rathan-Mayes scored 26 consecutive Florida State points without missing a shot. He went 8-for-10 in the final five minutes, sinking six 3-pointers, and finished with 35 points to tie his career high.

Form reminds me of Bradley Beal. Lol at the last foul.

Duncan for Boise St. reminded me initially of Jack Black, but he plays like an nba vet. He's a super intelligent player- defensive anchor

What a fun day. SMU got robbed - they were my dark horse pick and I was really hoping for Harvard to beat UNC.

Let's see if UB can beat West Virginia.

I'm curious, what made you guys pick SMU of all teams? Not that I think they didn't have a shot, just don't think they were nearly favorites of their side.

I guess I should temper this by saying I watch a ton of college ball. From January till March I watch it more than NBA ball.

Anyways, I watched disproportionate amount of their games compared to the rest of the field. They beat some pretty good teams, especially an underrated Tulsa team and beat a UCONN team that while was really inconsistent, was still playing for its tourney life in the conference tournament and beat them well. They're only losses that concerned me were the ones to Cincinnati.

They looked like they were peaking and were a nice dark horse pick for me (size, athleticism, well-coached).

But to be honest, if I didn't watch them, I likely wouldn't have picked them, but factor in a few upsets and I convinced myself.

Fair enough, I had seen nothing about them, not even so much as highlights, so I was just curious as to what you saw.
