Thank goodness for a computer!

Thomas just made a great move for Washington. Only down 2 to Kentucky with 47seconds to go. Lets go Washington!

Yep. Pretty sweet early in the year. Easy schedule now till B10 play. Duke could lose by then and we will be #1 at some point in the year. Pretty cool to say. Hopefully it happens and we're #1 at the end of the year also!

UCONN takes down #9 Kentucky. Back-2-Back top 10 wins in b-2-b days. Impressive.

You'll lose before Duke does, and you won't end up #1 at the end of the year, sorry to be a downer but its the way I see it, although I will give credit to OSU's strong play thus far.

Have you seen tOSU schedule? We play @FSU soon but after that we don't have another tough game till Big 10 play starts and that is in January.

In fact we don't play another rank team till Jan 9 against Minnesota and that is at home. After that not till Jan 22 @Illinois and then Purdue following that. There is a good chance Ohio State doesn't lose till late January.

Duke has a tough game against Michigan State coming up in the B10/ACC challenge so its possible.

As for predicting the champion: Its a tough shot to call it this early in the year. Ohio State is built for a tourney run though. We're good at every position. We have the team to do it but winning the championship in CBB is tough. Just have to wait and see. I like this team so far. They're really fun to watch. Remind me a little bit of the 06/07 team with Oden,Conley JR, and lots of juniors/seniors that made it to the National Championship game.

As for being #1. I don't really care. Its fun to be but in CBB it doesn't really matter at all. As long as you get to the tourney that is all that matters.

no BCS computer stuff but they still use strength of schedule
writers do the poll
SOS comes into play when teams are being put into the tourney

Michigan State is #2 for now but they lost this week so when the new rankings come out(on Monday) OSU will be #2.

Yeah. SOS is the big one, also big wins(road wins are huge). Stuff like that. In basketball the polls don't really matter much(The AP and coaches poll). In basketball you just want to make the tourney. In Football they do b/c only #1 and #2 make the NC game(and 2/3 of the BCS system is polls). So in college basketball just get in tourney is your main goal and you got a chance to win it all.

But like Windex said they determine if you get in the tourney and your tourney seed by record, SOS, Big wins, key lost, etc. Some stuff like that. If you win your Conference Championship you get a automatic bid to the tourney and that is why there are a lot of bad teams in the tourney. Those would be all the #16 & #15 seeds.

A full tourney wouldn't work(64-68 teams) cause too many games, takes too much time(in BB you can play the next couple days in FB that would be too hard), etc.

The best thing to hope for in CFB is a playoff with 8 teams. I don't see it happening anytime soon though.

Defense game it was. I think FLorida State had like 12blocks in the game as a team. Bucks couldn't get anything going on the offense side of the ball but they still won by 14. Like you said Sullinger with another double-double.

ACC/B10 Challenge UPDATE(First to 6 wins): Big 10 leads 3-2 now and Illinois is up double digits against UNC in the 2nd half with 8 to go. So it should be 4-2 Big 10 after the night is over. If they get 2 wins tomorrow it would be the 2nd straight year the Big 10 won after the ACC won the first 10. So the B10 has a lot of catching up to do.

#8 Missouri and #13 Georgetown with a great game. GT hit a game tying 3 as time ran out. 94-94. High scoring game. Going into OT right now.

Kyrie Irving. 31points 6rebounds 4assist 2stls 2blks in a 84-79 win over #6 Michigan State.

Michigan State kept it close but just couldn't tie or take the lead. Kept it between 3-10points but Duke is just too good. Still Big 10 wins the challenge for the 2nd time in a row 6-5.

Great...>Great....>Great...>Great.. game today.

#10 Kentucky @ North Carolina.

Knight & Barnes 2 of the top freshman.

Both struggle a little. Knight 15points 3assist 6TO - Barnes 12points 4rebounds 3TO.

The show went to Zeller of UNC. 27points 10rebounds 5blocks. UNC won 75-73.
