I'm really a fan of Gose. Also a fan of him hitting 9th right so our best hitters can cash him in with his speed if he's on base. Since he's incredibly fast, he can leg out a lot of base hits, and he's aggressive on the base paths. He's also great defensively. Just has to stop making some boneheaded plays sometimes on both sides and he can be very useful for a bottom of the order kind of guy.

I wish the Jays would have tried to get Martin Prado. Can play third, second and isn't an offensive black hole. Didn't cost the Yanks that much either.
There's no relationship really with Arizona and their front office compared to the front office of the Yankees (see their previous deals e.g. Ian Kennedy).

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a play made for Cliff Lee right now with maybe Daniel Norris and another player heading the other way.

Yeah, just saw that. Maybe AJ Burnett. The Phillies are a perfect trading partner.

Fucking Gibby......leave Hutch in there. Like Gibby but he loves to pull out a lot of our gem performances after 8.2 innings from what I can remember.

Pitch count was well past his limit, I think.

Big time, he was at 115 iirc when he was pulled.

The fact he saw the 9th was risky.

115 is not bad for 8 2/3. Espeicially considering I don't think he's had many deep outings this season. If I'm that pitcher I'm pissed I wasn't given one more batter to try and finish. It was a 4 run lead.

115 is a lot for Hutch, he has already showed signs of tiring this season.

He pitched 60 something pitches the outing before plus an extra day off. You're telling me he couldn't have pitched to one more guy? If that guy gets on base, then pull him. Hutch looked really pissed getting pulled and all of post-game. But I agree, a win is a win though. Joey and Melky were huge.

Of course he could have pitched to another guy...My guess is that Gibs had determined that he could go back out but if any batter reached he'd be pulled. I don't mind the move. I wouldn't have sent him back out for the 9th to begin with. There was nothing to be gained.
