Sadly, I have zero faith in that happening
This offseason was a complete failure for AA/ownership imho

We have great relief pitching but i'm betting they're burned out by the middle of June

I heard on the radio a couple days ago that Jays management asked a couple players to defer some of their salary so they could sign Santana....if so, SMH

I think it was the other way around...management was approached by a few players

I think the players volunteered to help the team out.

Regardless, you can't blame AA for not getting Santana. They had a deal in place and we're ready to sign, but Santana backed out.

The good news is we have series against the Astros and Orioles coming up so there could be some confidence boosting wins there.

They aren't volunteering anything unless they were told there isn't enough money or they were asked. Somewhere along the line it must have been said that they didn't want to spend. Either way it's pretty pathetic.

Astros took 2 of 3 against the Yanks
Orioles are off to a tough start, but they've faced Boston and Detroit

Nothing will be easy for this rotation

I think it's perfectly reasonable they got together on their own and decided that moving around a few million to help win games would be the right thing to do and approached AA. Nothing pathetic about it, rather commendable actually.

This is true. But we've seen some good outings in the 7 games we've played so far. Hutch didn't do great today but he's only 23 and showed what he can do in his first start. Dickey is a 20+ win pitcher if he throws like he did the other night.

McGowan, it comes down to confidence and nerves. He's got the skill.

if you buy that they did it on their own without knowing anything about whether or not the organization was willing to spend the money, sure....i guess. Not likely though. Somebody had to have been told they weren't willing to spend the money for Santana otherwise they're volunteering this on the "off chance" the team needs the money.

Yup, thinking of getting one this Summer. Only 99 bucks for a replica. Not sure who I'd get. Sierra if he has a good year
