The Blue Jays once traded for Angels catcher Mike Napoli. Then four days later they got rid of him. Maybe seeing Napoli help two teams to the World Series since then has them trying for a do-over. Hereís Bob Elliott of the Toronto Sun:

Yes, the Blue Jays need starting pitching. Yet, thatís not the only area they are searching to improve on for next season. The Jays also are attempting to acquire a catcher from the Los Angeles Angels. Toronto has targeted either Chris Iannetta or Hank Conger, according to those familiar with the Jaysí plans.

I imagine current Jays catcher J.P. Arencibia would be interested to learn this. But itís also possible that the news would blow right by him and hit the backstop once it came his way.

haha love the last line.

Catcher, 2nd base and pitching should be AA's targets over the next five months.

Those two catchers AA is supposedly targeting aren't much better than JP.

I'm not watching Boston win the World Series. I don't like the Cards either.

Red Sox fans were acting like they just won the game on that homer. I guess they didn't realize that there was 3 more innings left to play. Cardinals win 4-2

That play reminded me of the ol Utah Jazz. Honacek, Stockton, they did some dirty work.

I blame Boston's left fielder for texting in the outfield. If he was in the correct position to back up the throw, the 3rd baseman would not have used cheap tactics to trip the base runner.

I'm not complaining about the call.

Just a shitty way to lose a WS game.
