Miguel Cabrera is unreal.

.387AVG 11HR 47RBI on the year already. That is after the triple crown year he had last year. He is gonna go down as one of the best hitters in MLB history.

if we had swept the yanks we would have been right back in it. but we bottled it. I think that series was the point where we can say we dont have a flying chance of winning the division and that the WC is EXTREMELY unlikely at this point.

how can a season be done so soon? toronto sports nation: bringing toronto sports fans the impossible, year in, year out

Rasmus has a mullet with lines shaved in the temples. How redneck is that?

Ok, here's a question: can a relief pitcher pitch his way into blown save? I know that if you come into the game in the 9th down 5, and give up 3 runs, you don't get a save for winning by 2. Conversely, if you come in down 5 (ie not in a save situation) and give up 6 in the 9th, is that a blown save or just a loss?

If it's not a save opportunity going into the inning or when the pitcher comes in it can't be a blown save.
