Did anyone catch the reasoning behind the A's and Sox playing two regular season games in Japan and then coming back and resuming with preseason games?

Aj pitched well. He's going to be money this year just so he can opt out of his contract.

I'm gonna say one thing, if the Jays pitching continues to play as well as they have all season then I'd say they make a trade for a big bat come June to put us in that upper echelon of teams.

They definitely look good to start the season. Now all the gotta do is give our best pitcher some offense to work with. Doc and the Jays in tough today so far against Beckett and the Sox.

BTW. I owe a big appology to Mr. Franklin Thomas.

most impressed with his clutch hitting this past weekend.

I salute you Frank! You are the man!

Yeah, I figured he's a bum. ANd to think, we're missing 2 key clogs - Rolen and Ryan.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves however, 2 big games Tuesday and Wednesday versus Oakland - games against Harden and Blanton. If we can win those games, I'll be a much bigger believer.

I don't want to get too ahead of myself, but this team at this point looks fantastic. There's actually a buzz regarding baseball and the Jays again too. I'm a happy camper and hope we can just stay healthly season. If so, we're definitely going to make things interesting.

You know the buzz is only there because of the Sox...

However, I do have to admit.. the boys easily could have swept the Yankees and then ended up sweeping the Sox. Every game is crucial. Every game counts. Let's see how they perform against scrappy teams like Oakland.

I was at the opener... how did the girl and guy running accross the field in their underwear look on tv?? LOL Man she was stacked! And for those that missed it..it was cold in the dome that night I was right at the first base line and saw them from the minute they jumped up on the dugout(my boobie radar went off). Good times

Also, anyone know what was going on in the 500 level above home plate? Lots of noise coming from up there...heard something briefly on the fan, but nothing specific.

Ah, April optimism from the Jays fans.

Got to say, those retro uniforms were pretty sweet.

So fucking true.

What killed me about this team in the past, is that they would get in the hole pretty early and start the year off slow. Vernon would be crap at the start, Frank thomas was MIA for the first half, pitching rotation and roles were up in the air.... and because the baseball season is such a marathon, you got a sence that there was NO urgency. Like, oh it was just one game... we'll get them next time. Well forget that, there IS urgency big time. even now. especially now. Establishing a winning and positive clubhouse atmosphere is crucial with this team.

And you could see it with this current squad now. Especially against Boston. I watched that one Frank Thomas at bat on Saturday where he cracked that double into the gap to give us the lead. The man looked absolutely determined to do something in that at bat. His eyes were HUGE. and you could see the intensity when he got to second with his "pumped up" reaction.

Now THAT'S what i want to see with these guys. That's what i will pay money to see. heh. maybe i'll actually go to a handful of games this year seeing as i live beside the freaking stadium.

Fancy gets it! We saw this song and dance routine for years now. No taking games for granted. You need a team of gamers, dirtbags, that will play each game like it was game 7 of the world series. That would make this team a dangerous team to play against.

Already we're playing small ball and I'm loving it. They should have been doing it for years. Once Rolen comes back and Ryan is full healthy, and the pitching holds up, and the sense of urgency remains, this team is definitely a contender for the playoffs.

Some of those lines were funny as fuck..

And the photo of chicky-poo who ran on the field. You know she's a champ in bed.
