MARCH MADNESS 2013

It is here.

'trane 03-21-2013 12:20 PM

according to my almost 4-year old (who speaks english quite fluently), this first game (valparaiso vs michigan st) is actually valadada vs cloo-loo. :reporter:

cloo-loo is expected to win, of course.

I'm kind of disappointed that St. Mary's isn't really giving Memphis that much of a game right now. Expected more out of them.

Pitt losing to Wichita St. isn't surprising to me. I think Zaga would love it if Wichita wins as they match up much better with them than with Pitt.

Kelly Olynyk (born April 19, 1991 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian basketball player. He moved to Kamloops, BC in grade 7. [1]He is in his junior year at Gonzaga University, where he plays basketball for the Gonzaga Bulldogs.[2] He also represents the Canadian national basketball team. His father Ken is the Athletic Director at Thompson Rivers University and was the former coach of the University of Toronto men's basketball team.

Dario 03-21-2013 06:32 PM

Dario 03-21-2013 06:47 PM

I have them in the Elite 8, they better not let me down DVS!

Cuse got some bad news though this week, looks like the NCAA could be knocking on their door in the near future.

RaptorsandBuckeye FaN 03-22-2013 12:20 AM

UPSET!

#14 seed Harvard beats #3 seed New Mexico for their first NCAA tourney win in their history!

Surprised Smart is so high on that list. His game is all over the place.

Toby 03-22-2013 01:05 AM

I admit it, I did not fill out my bracket. Am I evil?

Ya the fact Fab Melo and Sunderland can't read really bothers them (see Penn State no one can read there). Boheim seems very confident the school is doing nothing wrong I guess we will see. The fact the school is moving to the ACC doesn't really appeal to me with all this other stuff.

Not good New Mexico was packed with Canadians. Then again Harvard
has one as well

Not at all. I never fill out one. A one and done tournament with 64 teams is impossible to get right. I got pissed off when the person that has no knowledge about ball wins most of the pools

Claudius 03-22-2013 07:36 AM

If I'm not mistaken, wasn't/isn't it New Mexico St. with all of the Canadians?

Really surprised that Harvard won. They're such an up and down team and I couldn't figure them out in the Ivy.

VCU had an easy win and I'm glad Trey Burke is ok. That was a really nasty fall.

VCU/Michigan game is gonna be a fun one to watch. When Michigan loss in the Big 10 tourney early, I told my friends I hope they end up a 4 seed and have to play Saint Louis or VCU in the tourney. I got my wish, I just want them to lose early!

nah man. i haven't done one in 3 years, and the tourney has become so much more fun to watch. i always hated rooting against an underdog upset because it fucked my elite 8, or whatever. it's way more enjoyable to just watch the games.

edit - and what dvs said.

jeffb 03-22-2013 02:34 PM

I think most people filling out brackets are guessing with 90% of their picks anyway. With that many teams (most of which we don't get to watch much if at all), you're just pissing in the wind.

Gurk 03-22-2013 02:44 PM

Another 5th seed that get's knocked out. So long Wisconsin

'trane 03-22-2013 05:38 PM

anyone have ol miss vs la salle in the 2nd round? lol.

RaptorsandBuckeye FaN 03-22-2013 05:39 PM

From ESPN:

With La Salle upsetting 4-seed Kansas State it's the first time ever that the 3, 4, & 5-seeds have lost in a region in Round of 64

Dark Knight 03-22-2013 05:40 PM

Watched the 'Cuse spanking last night. Felt bad for Montana, they couldn't do a damn thing with that zone.

Claudius 03-22-2013 08:19 PM

How I hope Georgetown loses tonight. It would make my day.

DSWC 03-22-2013 08:31 PM

Ugh, it's bad enough that Reggie Miller has to ruin NBA games, now he's ruining NCAA games too.
