I find it hard not to cheer for the Swedish women wrestlers.

it will be interesting to see the final shot count...cause to me, France dominated most of the game

+1. Great guy and it's amazing to see how he's turned this team around in such a short time. From the dismal performance in the World Cup to this.... WOW.

Way to go girls!!

the slowmo replay of Diana Matheson pulling on/looking at the Canadian flag emblem on her jersey after the winning goal brought a tear to my eye

well done ladies...you've made all of Canada proud

Pretty much what I thought about the US game. I guess it works for them, but man it's hard to watch.

the bronze medal game was one of the most dreadful performances by Canada i have seen. But i couldn't be happier with the result. It may sound strange to say that the weaker team deserved to win, but in this case it is true. Congratulations girls on a WELL DESERVED olympic medal.

France has to be disappointed with their results in this Olympics.... by all accounts they outplayed the Japanese and were unlucky missing that penalty at the end.... and then now with the loss against Canada. They must be ticked.

I have to disagree with this.

Too much importance is unduly placed on winning medals. While I'd like Canada to have more medals, and more golds - of course, a lot of these finishes are amazing when you consider you're going against the best in the WORLD.

They say fourth is the worst place to finish, and yes, you don't get a medal, but you're the FOURTH best at something IN THE WORLD.

It really rubs me the wrong way, and I'm tired of people discounting and discrediting these performances with things like "oh, we only won a bronze". Take the thing you're best at (not you personally) and are you even in the top 1000 in the world?

Canada's accomplishments are amazing, considering our (relatively) small population and the fact that we barely fund our athletes.

thats the main point and the reason why smaller nations like Australia and Netherlands do better. I know you're not counting since medals aren't important but Canada is currently 12th place in total medals

YES!

Crazy that it's a Jamaican sweep for the podium, but stoked to see Bolt repeat in the 100 and the 200.

Can't wait for the 4X100 relay!

Credit to Blake... made Bolt work for it at least (kinda).

And VERY happy for Weir. Didn't think he had the juice to medal in this race.... good for him!

I'm smelling a new WR in the 4 x 100!
