falcons and dunta robinson agreed to a supposed 6 year deal with 27 million guaranteed. it hasn't been announced finalized yet, but it's the only team (home town) that he is negotiating with.

i love it. it might be pricy coming off the poor season he just had last year, but he's still considered one of the better corners in the league.

bad news for Arizona this offseason
they lost Warner, Boldin, and their 2 best defensive players

another deal that might go down is Marshall to the Seahawks for the #6 pick

Default Cardinals trade for Jets safety Rhodes

Quote:
It took the Arizona Cardinals one day to find a replacement for Pro Bowl safety Antrel Rolle.

The Cardinals acquired safety Kerry Rhodes from the New York Jets on Saturday for a fourth-round pick in this year's draft and a seventh-rounder in 2011.

Rhodes is expected to move into the starting spot that was vacated when Rolle signed with the New York Giants as a free agent Friday.

Kampman is better suited for a 3-4 defense, doesn't Jacksonville play a 4-3?

they tried 3-4 last season and failed miserably...so they are going back to 4-3 for the next season...

The Philadelphia Eagles and wide receiver Jason Avant have agreed on a five-year contract.

Avant was a restricted free agent. He had a career-best 41 receptions for 587 yards and three touchdowns last season as Philadelphia's slot receiver.

hes one of my favorite players...tough as nails and has great hands and tends to make those impossible catches in crunch time...he is a legit 2...as much as i love jermey maclin, avant deserves to get more playing time....

Avant? Maclin will be that team's #2. I wonder how much they overpaid for Avant?

Good comparison. Avant is solid, but he's not a saviour. He's a 3rd or 4th receiver. Like I said, I want to know how much the Eagles paid for him - and you know they overpaid for him.

he brings toughness and clutch play, and like i said earlier, hes excellent in third down situations, and to add to that hes got amazing hands...

he brings things that the eagles receiving core is missing, both maclin and jackson are soft but are fast. avant on the other hand isnt that quick but is an excellent rout runner, and great in traffic...

i as an eagles fan am very happy about this signing...and to be honest i could care less if they overpaid for him, we have all the cap room we need...

now only we could somehow trade maclin for marshall

Avant is crazy. Love him too. Doesnt it always seem like hes the ones making catches on 3rd and long(especially 3rd and 15). He had a monster game against the chargers i think.

Default Randle El, Clark return to Steelers

Quote:
The Pittsburgh Steelers brought back two familiar faces Monday.

Wide receiver Antwaan Randle El, who spent his first four NFL seasons in Pittsburgh, accepted a three-year deal to return to the Steelers, NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reported via a league source. Randle El was released by the Washington Redskins last week after four seasons with the team.

Also coming back to the Steelers is safety Ryan Clark. Just one day after he visited the Miami Dolphins, Clark decided to stay in Pittsburgh, where he has played for the past four years. A league source told La Canfora that Clark agreed to a four-year contract expected to average $4 million guaranteed.

The Steelers also bolstered their special teams -- a weakness last season -- by signing wide receiver Arnaz Battle and safety Will Allen to three-year contracts. La Canfora reported via a league source that Battle's deal is worth $3.9 million and Allen's is worth $4.5 million.

Battle spent seven seasons with the San Francisco 49ers and played in 88 games as a wide receiver, kick returner and punt returner. He has 178 receptions for 2,150 yards and 11 touchdowns in his career.

Giants did overpay for Rolle but they were desperate. Its a good chance Phillips might gone for his career due to that terrible kneed surgery. Also, if you watched any giants games last year their secondary was absolutely brutal. Rolle one of the best secondary players available and with all their corners back healthy and phillips hopefully back the Giants look all shored up and can move forward.
