Default Kimbo Slice Got His Ass Whooped

I love it .... Kimbo getting knocked out in 14 seconds last night. Priceless

Head back to Miami and stick to fighting bums on the street because your no match for MMA fighters.

The dude that won was a sub for 40+ y/o Ken Shamrock.

Not staged, he slipped coming in and the momentum took him right into a fist making the shot hurt way more then it looked. Anyways, Kimbo is, was and always will be a street thug, not a true MMA fighter, he got so much hype for a guy with 3 pro fights against washed up has beens and nobodys, you put him in the ring with a true high calibre heavyweight and it would be laughable.

On that note, cant wait for Lesnar vs Couture!!

you can thank elitexc for over hyping and putting so much promotion behind kimbo. he prepared for shamrock and took the fight with little notice vs a guy he had prob never seen before. and he also got more financial reward for taking the fight on such short notice. i like kimbo. i dont really understand why so many people dislike the guy. the guy is 34, and only been training in MMA for about 1 1/2 - 2 years. most up and coming fighters face cans and lower tier guys on their way up in smaller shows. if anyone should get bashed its elitexc and the Shaw family

EXC has no choice but to put so much into Kimbo, they cannot come close to competing with all the other fight groups out there.

But to his credit he seemed to handle the loss with some class. They both did actually.

Kimbo is done bro, all the work in the world wont help him against guys training MMA since teens and early 20s, he will never EVER be a top heavyweight. The reason Brock has got in the game and done fairly well (and im starting to think will be the next HW UFC Champ), is because on top of being a freakishly big, strong and fast human being, he has an extensive wrestling background from childhood and was an NCAA champ, Kimbo was just fighting crack heads or w/e and big guys with afro's that give up after 3 min.

kimbo's not an MMA fighter...
he's a street fighter, period.
kimbo fighting in MMA is comparable to someone like Joyce Gracy being a street fighter... it just doesnt work.
he doesnt have the skill to go toe to toe with a polished MMA fighter... he just tries to land bombs and hopes to connect. thats all.
Kimbo is all hype...
he has no respect for the sport whatsoever. first off, he turns his back to shamrock in the weigh in...
and it wasnt until after he got beat did he even acknowledge Seth Petruzelli... he didnt even shake his hands (or hit gloves) before the match, he just left seth hanging.
he's a dick. he thinks he's so good, yet he's only had 3 professional fights.
im glad he lost and hopefully all his hype will fade.

Kimbo was lucky that he exploded that big Brit's ear from a couple months back, because had he not he would of been done in that match too considering he was gassed. He should get out before his tough guy image is totally tarnished.

He'll get better.

He's like Bargs, Kimbo has potential and anyone who doesnt see that is an idiot. He hits a hard as anyone out there but it is gonna take time to learn the other aspects of the game.

Alot more to mma than punching. Once Kimbo learns ground defense, takedowns, ground and pound etc he will be ridiculous. Much like Lesnar, he has alot to learn. Hes working with the best and this loss will only motivate him to learn more.

he's 34... his window of opportunity is closing fast....
as he ages, his power will detoriorate and when that happens - he's in trouble.
he relies way too much on power and landing bombs... why do you think he's gassed by the second round? he spends the first 5 minutes trying to land these bombs and doenst even think about conserving energy or strength...
you cant teach an old dog new tricks... his mentality is all about bashing skulls. he doesnt think about moves, or seconds ahead in the fight.
and i'll bring up the fact that he's 34, and not getting any younger.
i'm sure you'll bring up couture and other older MMA fighters, but the difference between kimbo and these guys is that they've been MMA fighting for decades, whereas kimbo's only been doing it for a year.
i'm sorry, but you put him in the ring with a polished vet, and he'll get beaten again and again...

Couture is 156.

Silva is 33,

Fedor is 32.

Age dont mean shit. Kimbo will learn and he will make an impact, it will just take time and hard work

Couture...silva...fedor....
they've been MMA fighing for years. they are veterans with years of MMA experience... i'd be willing to bet they've been in some form of disciplined fighing since they were 6 or 7... then each with at least 15+ years of MMA type training.

Kimbo is 34 with 1 year MMA experience.
by the time he's actually good and has 15+ years exp, he'll be 50 something...

Lol im with that, Kimbo is like Bargs hahaha you must hate Bargs as much as me to say that!! Seriously, any hardcore MMA fan knows Kimbo is a joke, he hasnt faced ANYONE of note, i mean literally nobody, so how can you say he hits harder then anyone in the game? Im willing to bet theres MANY HW's out there that could just stand toe to toe with him and down him, his boxing isnt even that good, his ground game is non existent, he is old and from what i can tell in interviews he doesnt come across as overly intelligent and intelligence along with stamina are basically the two most important things to an MMA fighter, Kimbo lacks so badly in so many area's it would take him 10 years to catch up to the top HW's, he will get a few more garbage fights, then have to fight someone decent, lose again, then he will disappear and MMA will be better off for it.

People might laugh at this, but I think it comes down to the fact that Kimbo isn't mentally strong enough to be a decent fighter. (aka he's too stupid)

I'm mean look at his response after getting his ass handed to him. He could care less about losing and was more excited about his after party.

"Holla back at ya boyz"

Kimbo is like 34 year old 7'2" guy who just started playing basketball... sure, he will dominate guys playing street ball just by standing next to the hoop, grabbing every rebound and dunking each time but if you put him in a organized game with the pros he will get schooled by guys like Humphries or even Haffa.

IMHO... Slice should be on the screen, not in the ring... he is this generation's Mr.T... big scary looking black dude with a gentle heart...
