Scott is going to have nightmares for the next week. Wow, tough break. He had it and loss it on the last 5 holes. Shot a +5 today while Els shot a -2!

Nah, he's a douche. I'm not big on people like him, Tiger Woods had a bit of a life collapse and this guy fucked him in the press. tiger won this guy over 10 million bucks, earned him actual endorsements..I mean shit, a caddie with endorsements, and he skewars him in the media for wanting a fresh start in life.

Ya, not cool with Steve Williams. Guy loves to talk shit, loves to brag about his Race car...perhaps he shouldn't forget who bought him that race car.

Congrats to Canadian golfers Graham Delaet and David Hearn for finishing 53rd and 68th in the Fed Ex Cup. They are both within the top 100 PGA money earners so they keep their PGA cards too.

It's good to see someone step up to fill Mike Weir's void.

I haven't really kept up with golf for a long time. Is Weir retired?

His body has let him down. Elbow and back issues mainly I think. He lost his PGA card a couple of years ago, and in the last three years has only played a couple of PGA events using exemptions. I don't think he's made the cut in an event in the last three years.

He always sounds optimistic on his web site blogs though.

I just recently got into playing golf, played a 9 hole round with my dad in one of the tournaments ran by his office. it was a really nice day, i fell in love with the sport. had 2 beers each courtesy of the office, and they brought it out to us on the course, and then won a putter in a raffle! it's a sign that I am going to take up golf hahahaha

golf is an awesome sport to play. I took it up a few years ago and loved it right away. It can be frustrating a lot due to it being such a technique based game, but when you hit a nice shot, it makes up for all the crappy attempts.

The only negatives that exist for me are time and cost. I haven't picked up my sticks since my first kid was born. I can see myself giving it another go when i get older though.

Yup US shit the bed in their final 4 grouping, they were projected to win 15.5 to 12.5 at some point.

Rough.

At least it's competitive though.

yep, have to say the USA fans were an absolute disgrace. To either excuse them or make it even worse (depending on how you see it,) not sure they even know they're a disgrace.

watched some highlights of 2010 ryder cup this week and there was NO cheering when USA played bad shots and polite clapping when they played good shots.

in medinah you could "get in the trees!" and "get in the water!" and obviously loud cheers when europe missed putts.

I only play golf once a year - but when I do - I play at the most exclusive golf course in Canada.

Redtail Golf Course - Top 100 Golf Courses of Canada

Quote:
They send invitations annually to a select group of around 100 golfers - Sean Connery is one - to become "Members of the Round Table" at Redtail.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II stayed in one of the cottages on the property during a Canadian visit so that too is an indication of the Redtail exclusivity.
Redtail St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada

Quote:
The course involved surprisingly little earth movement with the result that it proved relatively inexpensive to build. In 1991, it cost 2.2million Canadian dollars or just over 1,000,000 to build including a full irrigation system and a vast dam for irrigation water storage. It is a sum which many find hard to believe, but it is a vivid example of how world class courses can be built for sensible sums in this age of relentlessly spiralling construction costs.

"There's not a place like it"
"It's simple rather than cosmetic, with lots of undulation, trees and a variety of wildlife"
Sean Connery
