Default Colts to play Bills in Toronto

Quote:
TORONTO - It seems Terrell Owens won't be the only NFL marquee player on display when the Buffalo Bills head north to play at Toronto's Rogers Centre later this year.

Both NFL.com and The NFL Network reported Sunday that the Indianapolis Colts - led by star quarterback Peyton Manning - are the top choice to be Buffalo's opponent for the game.

Buffalo made headlines March 7 when it signed the controversial Owens to a US$6.5-million, one-year contract just two days after the 35-year-old was released by the Dallas Cowboys.

But the Bills figure Owens is the right complement to their top receiver, Lee Evans. The six-foot-three, 218-pound Owens has registered 1,000-yard seasons in nine of his 13 NFL campaigns and finished with double-digit touchdown grabs on eight occasions.

And then there's Manning, who turns 33 later this month and is a three-time winner of the NFL MVP award. He's a nine-time Pro Bowl player and was the MVP of the Colts' 2006 Super Bowl victory. He is the son of former NFL quarterback Archie Manning and older brother of Eli Manning, the MVP of the New York Giants '07 Super Bowl season.

As long as tickets are 295 per in the upper section, I can see fans staying away.

I'm not worrying. I'd rather watch it at home on the tele. I get all the cold drinks I want, all the hot food I want and no lineups during halftime. I went to one of the pre-season games with a cousin-in-law who paid out of his ass for the Bills-in-Toronto package, which included a pre-season game. The face value of the ticket was 295 - and we were sitting 7th row in the upper section.

NFL has got to be the worst LIVE sport I've ever seen. The stopages are horrible live because its not like TV when u see the replay.

If the crowd isn't rabid its not worth it and with the Toronto prices no way that crows will be lowd

True that. NFL games seem so boring. It goes on for like 4 hours with constant toppages. I love the fourth quarter in a close game only. To tell you the thruth the Superbowl game is the only NFL game I watch. I can't understand how people can sit and watch NFl game for so long

If you go to lively NFL stadiums, it can be a fun experience. Going to Buffalo, sitting in the lower bowl (for tickets a butt-load cheaper than in Toronto), when it's snowing is a lot of fun. A game at Heinz field is a lot of fun. As is the meadowlands. Ford Field is a real snoozer.

What's really boring is going to a Jays game at SkyDome. I went to the home opener a few seasons ago and I had to leave in the 4th inning , it was that bad.

The yankee fans aren't that bad. I usually go to one Jay game a year and its against the Yankees. We try to get Doc or at least a decent pitching matchup and its a ton of fun.

Usually its 2 of us Yankee fans and the other 2 Jays fans. Its a ton of fun and you get guys wanting to fight us and its like "wtf is your problem my boy here is a Yankee fan".
