Argos new coach 'wanted more' | Terry Koshan | Columnists | Sports | Toronto Sun
The Argos hired a new head coach. His name is Jim Barker. He should be better than the old guy (who had pretty bad fake hair). OK... on that note, lets make this the official CFL football thread. |

one good thing about the CFL is the games are fast.
NFL games drag, they should learn for the CFL. Then again u trap 80K people in an arena for 4 hours u make killer concessions |

Personally i'm not a big american football fan. I really hate the NFL actually, but that said i do watch the odd CFL match here and there. Hamilton is my team of choice. And fact is that it IS a popular league in Canada. There are lots of critics like yourself, but the TV numbers are VERY good and the league is quite popular outside of Toronto. It really is the second best professional league out there - and that says quite a lot. |

Hamilton and Toronto does have a core of hard cores. CFL is popular I know that the TV ratings are mad. Just because Toronto is very USA influenced doesn't mean the rest of the country thinks that way.
I'm not saying this for your benefit ACIE. I'm sure you would have known that already |

It reminds me of those people that refuse to give MLS or any other soccer (ahem true football) leagues a chance because they're not the premiership. It's a narrow minded attitude. Like i understand that people don't have to all be CFL or MLS fans, but don't shit on a league just for the sake of doing it. I'm not a big enough pigskin football fan to know the subtleties of the game, but i can tell you without a shadow of a lie that i find watching the CFL more entertaining than the few times i've watched the NFL. |

I love the CFL. It's always entertaining. I've found it to be a lot more entertaining than the NFL games I've attended. Every Grey Cup seems to come down to the wire. There's always drama..and high scoring games.
