now THAT's more like it.

What a great weekend for the Canadians. I had a chance to see all of the medal winners on various replays and felt gosh darn proud to be a canuck. Kudos to Huynh and the mens 8s. Also big respect to that Cochrane kid who won the bronze in the mens 1500. I saw that one live and THAT was a race! Fuck phelps.

i didn't see his heat, but apparently he breezed through it and finished first.

Ladies trampoline gymnastics are coming up soon too with a couple of strong Canadians.

Looks like we should get in the double digits in the medals.

here's hoping.

I don't care. Also, he looks shifty to me when being interviewed.

I'm sure that it'll come out at a later date that he's found a way to beat the tests.

I personally don't care for anyone who wears a baseball hat backwards. I've seen Phelps sport this look and have come to the conclusion that this makes him a wanker.

Hoping to catch it in the highlights ... he was too awesome in Greece ... here's hoping we get another medal (or two) from him.

Go Canada ... nice job in the trampolining and horse jumping.

It does seem unbelievable that someone as talented in the water as he is exists, eh?

Yes, Phelps was created by evil geniuses. End of discussion.

I did the numbers.

The United States are winning medals at a rate of 0.000000263/person

Canadians, doing it at 0.000000389/person.

So, the canadian populace is wininning a medal at the games at a rate of 1.5 times faster than the americans are.

Stop shitting on our athletes.

Thanks.

why do you say that.

Athletes are picked form a pool of potential athletes.

Large populations generate larger pool in which to choose from, it's simple odds.

We do better with our smaller pool then they do. Not to mention our athletes, one picked, are underfunded in comparison.

I'd say we have plenty to be happy about.

I'll do it for you.

USA-0.13 Medals per athelete

Canada-0.039 Medals per athelete

That is utter nonsense, and makes no sense...and I think you know it.
