At one point i just changed it to OMNI 2 which was showing the game with Chinese commentators and it made the audio THAT much more tolerable to my ears.

Yeah, Pierre McGuire is unbearable to listen to, always has been. Just be glad Peter Lubardias wasn't on with him, i think he's a SN guy......he's the worst Hockey broadcaster ever.

Kind of sounds like Chuck Swirsky.

Not even close. At least for my liking, even when i watched Hockey, that guy anoyed the hell out of me. He yells when they analyze plays after games, it's as if he's yelling at the screen thinking the game is cuurently going on.

Canada outplayed the U.S. for the majority of the game. We ran into a hot goaltender and he had a legendary game. Brodeur, not so much - the man looked like he's never played in a high pressure game in his life. Canada will be fine, this was a nice wake-up call. The U.S. better hope they don't play us again.

Why wasn't Osgood considered for team Canada?

Wake up call for Canada is the best way to tap potential in this team

Osgood isn't even the #1 in Detroit. That belongs to Jimmy Howard.
Brodeur is probably the most decorated goaltender in NHL history. The guy has the most wins and shutouts in history. He's also won multiple cups and led us to a gold medal in 2002. You couldn't leave the guy off of the roster. Babcock should have started Luongo in the first place and stuck with him.

The US has an easy ride to the Semis. Their next game will be the winner of Switzerland-Belarus match.

Canada has to play a prototypical Canada match. Strong defense, hit everything in sight, create havoc around the net, smart puck movement.

Honestly man, I have no idea why perry and getzlaf are on that team. Luongo should start next game. The last goal for the americans summed up how shit perry is. ITs the dying seconds of the game and he isnt hustling for the puck. Doesnt even get his stick down either. What an idiot. If Luongo plays in net, I think we have a great shot for gold.

Loved the way Nash, Crosby, Toews and Neidermyer played.

I think it hurts us that the team isn't a bit tougher. Last night, I kept wishing we had a guy like Phaneuf out there to give the Americans something to think about. There was very little physical presence from our back-line.

But I'm still optimistic that we can win 4 in a row for gold.

I was hoping for someone to keep on hitting them down once the US came into our zone. Sadly I was dissappointed

The immature canadian fans who were singing Oh Canada outside a restaurant were the U.S mens hockey team was dinning in I think gave them that fire. Or call me a conspiracy guy or its just plain coincidence that the olympic comitee will be making more money for team canada to be playing an extra game especially at home ice.

Isn't that essentially the same thing. At the end of the day, you score at least 1 more goal, it's all that matters. And that pretty much all comes down to goaltending.

On the flip side...I can't believe Ovi laid out Jagr like that! Have some respect for the great ones, youngin'.
