battle of the blades

Who else watches this? some of you must.

I do for a couple of reasons:
1. my wife likes it
2. hearing Ron McLean blurt out awkward, random, frequent blurbs that make you ask "what the hell did he just say?"
3. the show is just entertaining overall.

Now yesterday they had Johnny Weir do a skate performance. Let me just say that it was one of the most hilarious things ever. Could not help but laughing my ass off at his pelvic thrusts and stripper type moves on the ice. and for the record I'm actually a fan of his. He's entertaining, but that was a bit much. lol.

Watched it last year, haven't yet this year. But I'm hearing lots of stories about Weir!

Ron's such a buffoon. Likable guy, but still. My favourite Ron McLean moment was Atlanta '96, when he was trying to get an interview with Donovan after he won the 100. He was literally being pushed aside by the American media.

"Donovan, the people back home in Canada..." *shove!* "Alright, we'll just wait a second..."
