Ayrton Senna

I don't know how many race fans are out there (I'm a huge F1 guy personally), but just caught this on Top Gear (great show).

Give it a watch if you're a race fan.

I like NASCAR. It is much safer. Drivers don't explode in the air.

How do you consider driving around in a oval track entertaining?

Not a huge race fan but I do like it. I watched Senna with my father as a kid. He was a god in a car.

Top Gear on Ayrton Senna (Full Segment) - YouTube

was a huge F1 fan back in the day and I must say I hated senna. It was mainly about the Andretti's growing up (mainly because my dad grew up one town over from the greatest driver of the last quarter century).

You want a really good senna movie watch this documentary

Senna (2010) - IMDb

loved this movie because most of the clips were from real footie. Great movie and a fantastic human being

I've seen the documentary and loved it.

I was always a Senna kid. I don't know why (I was like 9/10 when I really got into racing). After his death, I became a Mansell fan because of his dominance.

I forced my gf to watch the movie when it first came out. She even enjoyed it shows how good of a documentary it was.

I was never a Senna fan. I always admired guys like Alessi, Prost, Albereto and Mansell but just didn't have any love for senna. Incredible driver though.

Mansells racing time with Renault and Newman Haas was stellar though. Not many drivers were successful in both Indy car and F1 back in those days. Although I'd say Prost was the 2nd best driver in that time.

Back then I really preferred Indy car. It was much more competitive with the Andretti's, Mears, Sullivan, Fittipaldi etc etc. Funny now I could care less about the sport

I don't think people really appreciate how dominant Schumacher was in his prime and in turn how impressive that season by Villeneuve was.

I grew up watching Senna, Alesi, Prost, Hill, Coulthard, Mansell etc. Great drivers that took insane chances.

I wish people would appreciate Vettel today the same. I know some people say it's all about the car, but fans know it's so much more than that. Anyways, to me, Vettel might be one of the best drivers I've seen in a long time.
