Anybody here workout?
 
If so what are your numbers. For instance, on the bench press, dumbbell press, Bicep Curl etc.

I've only been working out for a year and a half so far. So I'm not no bodybuilder. Here are my max numbers.

Bench press: 185 pounds x 5 reps
Incline dumbell press: 2-70 pound dumbbells x 8 reps
Bicep Curl: 2-45 pound dumbbells x 4-5 reps on each arm

I've been working out for years. Back in '97 to '99 I training really hard. Put on close to 70 pounds in about a year and half.

Bench, my max was 365 lbs for one rep. Squats my max for one rep (arse to the ground ... none of this half assing squats) was 485 lbs. Military press for the shoulders I used to be able to do reps with 185 lbs for about 8 to 10 reps.

Now, my strength has dropped significantly, but I still do reps of 12 to 15 on the bench of 225 lbs. As I get older I don't care as much about how much I can lift, but more lighter weight for higher reps to help lean up abit. :)

Wow you used to be a monster. Still you can do 225 for about 12-15 which is impressive.

last time I did a bench press I was 15 and I could lift 140

I just do push ups now for strength
can do 100 now
boxing too

I run/walk/jump rope just some cardio stuff

I was about 245 lbs and not alot of fat. Now, I'm about 230 and a little chubbier. :giggle:

I run a lot. There is a chin up bar that i stop by my jogs sometimes.

Any of you do a chin up recently?

cause that shit is hard.

I'm up to 5 now.
(although i haven't done one through the winter).

This thread reminds me of the scene in Boogie Nights where John C. Reilly asks Mark Wallberg if he works out.

BTW I can leg press 7 plates a side for about 10 reps. However much that weighs.

That's after I've already done three warm up sets too. :evillaugh:


Sometimes it feels like my package is going to explode though.


I'm not into heavy weights anymore though. I prefer nice controlled movements with strict form.

4-5 years ago, i used to be serious about working out but i never kept track of my numbers. i always found that if i counted i tended to limit what i could do. just went to exhaustion.

and when i say serious, i dont mean "serious" serious, if you catch my drift. claudius can attest.

I did hot yoga the other day, bikram yoga. It was an hour and a half, and I was struggling to the point where I didn't know how much time was left. I didn't know if 30minutes had passed or an hour. I almost gave up, it was that hard, I sweat harder than when I play basketball. I'll probably start going every week day. I recommend to anyone who isn't a big fan of the weight lifting like myself.

i start and finish my work-outs with chin-ups. i find them they're pretty easy to build-up on if you continue doing it. when i started working out with my roommates, i went from being able to do five to ten easily within a month.

pulls-ups on the other hand, i max-out at five. those fuckers are tough for me.

Yoga sounds like the thing for me especially since I am not to fond in making muscels and that type of stuff

It's kind of like a sauna, but bigger, and without the rocks. It's a heated room.

It builds muscles you never thought you had. It doesn't make anything huge, but it tones your entire body, and builds all the muscles that have to do with posture. If you got a bad back and poor posture like I do, it's a good idea.
