BTW, i didn't watch the game but i saw the replay of the game winner and i found it strange that Miller didn't smother the puck, just before the goal instead redirected it into the corner the way he did.
seeing as the Blue Jays were the last team to win a major title its tops on my list list. I was 4 then and the 2 Canada hockey golds are big

rest of the gold, windex?

Also, i should have included the Clara Hughes bronze. That was good.
And Justyna Kowalczyk's gold in the xcountry marathon. That was insane.

they're all important
the first gold stands out the most and so does the speed skating at the end of the games (during the final days when Canada had a gold rush)

i'm just saying dude, the point of picking your top 5 is you actually have to pick your favorite 5!

Saying "the rest of the gold" defeats the purpose of a top 5 list.

There were so many awesome moments.... I don't think I could limit it to 5. Every time I try it just gets too hard.

These games were so enjoyable to watch and to play a small part in as a spectator. I'm insanely jealous of the people in Vancouver/Whistler who got to be right there in the heart of it.

And now I'm already suffering from withdrawal. Where is Brian Williams? He's gone!

NBC completely butchered their coverage: Not showing any events live and in their entrity. It wasn't until the hockey semi final that they showed a full hockey match!
Can you believe that?

just awful.

Not that i really care.... as you said, our coverage was top-notch.

Yeah they were pretty horrible. But they showed the skating live (probably because one their skaters lysechuk was one of the favourites) and a few other things. As for hockey, that's not surprising....Americans overall don't care about Hockey, but to be honest the Olympics brought in big ratings for them overall anyway so they should have shown more Hockey because generally speaking people were watching no matter what it was.

Went to a Jazz game (have been in Salt Lake City for the past 1.5 weeks for work ... can't wait to get back home) in my Team Canada jersey last night ... trash talked with some Americans. One guy had the nerve to say, "Well, at least we split the series." Yes, dude ... yes, we did .... remind me who won the one that counted?

Miss the Olympics!!!

Canada's largest airline has learned it sometimes has to take a back seat to the country's biggest sporting passion, ice hockey, the head of Air Canada said on Tuesday.
The airline was forced to delay a flight from Vancouver during the 2010 Winter Olympic Games because passengers watching the end of gold medal final on airport televisions ignored repeated calls to board.

"We incurred a flight delay for a reason Air Canada had not yet encountered in over 72 years of existence," chief executive Calin Rovinescu told a business gathering.

The Canadian fans were rewarded for their delay, as the nail-biting end to the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics saw Canada beat arch-rival United States 3-2 in overtime.

so I heard on the FAN that Maelle Ricker was at the ACC doing a meet and greet. I decided to go down. She signed a few things for me and was good for a little chit chat. She was cool.

Is she as smoking hot in person as she is on the TV? Props for doing that, I would have had serious trouble hiding my hard-on.
