You must work for Basketball Canada in some way. I have my bets placed that way anyways

Negative I am merely a passionate Canadian BBall fan who takes an interest in following the progress of aspiring young canadians hoping to play pro

See them live on Sportsnet Pacific????

Big props to the folks at Sportsnet Pacific for airing highlights of yesterday's epic showdown between the NCAA finalist Michigan State Spartans and the NCAA's annual cinderella team from the Pacific coast, Gonzaga.

As mentioned here Gonzaga's squad features FOUR canadians, 3 of whom were among the 9 players taking the court for the team in yesterday's game (three from BC and the other from Edmonton).

Last year, Sportsnet Pacific showed a few NCAA games featuring west coast teams. Although expanding this to a weekly game throughout the season is impossible due to the Olympics, there appears to be no reason that this trial could not exist in the same limited form or one somewhat expanded from last year (especially given all the Canadian content).

While last year's ratings may not have been great, they will only improve with the buzz surrounding Canada's first NCAA entry (Simon Fraser University from the greater Vancouver area) as well as this influx of Canadian talent.

Gonzaga and their Canadians take on fellow Pacific Coast team Washington State on Wednesday December 2nd, a perfect opportunity to pounce on this heightened interest.
