NCAA tourney 2012: Canadians in the field

Whoever happens to be the next coach for the Canadian national basketball team will soon be inheriting a bumper crop of young talent. There have always been a decent number of Canadians playing in the NCAA, but the quality of these players is definitely on the rise.

Though not all of the nation's finest ballers are represented in this year's version of March Madness, there is a very strong contingent showcased in the premier event of the NCAA basketball season. Here are 10 players you should keep an eye on when you're watching the games.

Man that listr used to be 4-5 total, its massive now. Canadian Basketball is totally growing. We grow tough level headed players up here... I like it.

Good work Boys!!

Ya you would think now is the time for basketball canada to get an established coach. This country needs another Donahue type

I thought that maybe someday Rob Sacre would make it to the NBA but his odds look slim to none now. With this being his final year of eligibility.

Wow... Theres a guy from North preston on one of them teams? (A place in NS) I don't know how the fuck he lived to be old enough to even have a chance. VERY BAD neighborhood where people are constantly getting murdered (daily, multiples times a day usually)

I saw him yesterday play against Gonzaga, and he was looking good, plus he won defensive player of the year, thats gotta be something. He reminds me of a softer Chandler, he takes up a lot of space, and hes got that powerness side to him. Reggie Miller had a lot of good stuff to say about him during the game.

If anything he would be a mid to late 2nd rounder this year.

BC do it up! We better keep our 2nd round picks and get Sacre over here to back up Jonas :D

i played high school ball against rob sacre. he was tat free and had a 'fro.
a 7 fter in high school, especially in canada, he basically dominated. you foul him, he could hit his free throws too. however i wasn't very impressed, the competition was simply not good enough
