Thumbs Down to THUMBS UP/THUMBS DOWN

Ok to start off I hope the Mods/Admins don't think I don't appreciate the work they do. Thats the furthest thing from the truth. However; I have to say Thumbs up / Thumbs down is problably worst than Karma. In fact I'd problably say Karma is an actual positive compared to this.

I'm not asking you guys to change it because I'm sure some games will be place from user to user. i'm just saying its gets quite annoying when u have lik 25 notifications all being a thumb up for a thumb down.

Just a rant

It's the fact that most members here are abusing it and acting like children when it comes to it.

Really it depends what your standards are. If you don't like posts like "I AGREE" or "THIS IS TRUE" or "I WAS GOING TO SAY THE SAME THING" that should really be considered spam in some lights and a thumbs down.

However; if you would thumbs down all the posts that have this blatant spam it would problably be considered "abuse"

Just a thought - i hope it proves helpful - what about the possibility of just disabling the thumbs down notifications? I'm thinking that is where the main problem lies, and maybe seeing thumbs up notifications of any number is not such a big deal. If it's not doable, or too much fuss for questionable worth - then please disregard the idea altogether.

I think the system is ok. The who karma thing can be abused...So can this but at least its private... I think a comment box to go along with it so the person knows why its a good or bad post would make it far more effective.

anyhow, here's a question, why are those blog entries all in bold at the top of the home page.

They just read like longer treads posts to me.

This place isn't a technical support forum, maybe 1, 2% of the posts here are actually suppose to help people...

Their has to be a better question, or a better rating system you can replace that with.

It just isn't relevant to this type of forum.

Which is probably why it is rarely used.
