His disrespect of female authority plus how he handled himself with Mchale on the court was quite disrespectful. Technically it's just my opinion but 2 things are clear, Lowry has a lot of talent and he has major attitude. It will be interesting to see how he handles himself with DC cause DC has shown he will not put up with that (as Mchale showed - hence why I'm going to find this interesting).
lol "disrespect of female authority"

If women want to be equal to men, they should expect to be treated like one(in a professional sense)

it's true. it shouldn't be a female of authority, but a person of authority

the guys need to move out of the stone-age and realize that women can do these jobs without having sexual recognition.

It depends on whether he hurled the ball because the person was a figure of authority or because the person was a woman in a position of authority.

There are a lot of woman in uniforms that are subject to sexual harassment that men simply are not. There is a problem within cultures in fully recognizing the authority the uniform lends to a person if there are breasts and hips filling them out. Not across the board, but enough that such a motivation cannot be dismissed. There is also a level of privilege that many men in uniform adhere to and recognize for males but not females, or they see the inclusion of women as something that infringes on privileges that they see as inherent rights rather than privileges.

The cultural change does not automatically happen when the uniform is put on. There needs to be a tipping point over time as numbers increase, authority is seen as being properly exercised, and that authority is backed up when anyone tries to undermine it.

internally, sexual harassment will happen regardless of sex. i've encountered it with every job i've had. everyone is subject to it, it's just more notorious with places like the policing divisions simply because women are out numbered and there's competition between them, which leads to the leeway of it.

publicly, i'd be willing to wager that men face more sexual harassment. not because of the numbers, but it's more socially acceptable.

i agree that it's does not automatically happen, but it should and that's my point. a person of authority shouldn't be judged on their sex. if a police officer pulls you over, would you be more polite and willing to comply if it were a male opposed to a female? i doubt you would simply because you're respecting the uniform not the person behind it.

Are you people for real?

Dude was pissed at the end of a game and whipped the ball at a ref (not that hard either). How the eff is it you folks have somehow turned this into whatever the hell the two posts above this are.

I don't care if it was Alf in a stripped shirt, I sure as hell wouldn't be calling it Alien Abuse.

Sometimes, it aint all that complex.
