Close call imo. Gilbert probably will never play basketball again, but Tiger was on top of the world and fell dramatically.

The Tiger Woods situation got blown way out of proportion, IMO. Anyone put in that situation with that kind of money, that level of fame and spending that much time on the road would be hard pressed not to act the same way.

Can't say the same about Gil.

He'll be back in action before his originally announced deadline, and he will continue being the best Golfer this planet has seen to this date.

Tiger Will play in the Masters thus leaving him not to miss one major. Yes he did lose his marriage and short term lost some money as well but if he plays the "Kobe" card he'll get it all back. When Tiger comes back for the Masters it will be the highest rated golf tournment in history and if he actually is in the last group on the final day it'll be one of the highest rated telecasts in history.

I know I'm speculating but when Gilbert hits the hardwood he'll be an afterthought

It depends on what is meant by career. I consider Tiger's career to include all of the endorsements, and those are just gone. So much of his career was built off of his image, which just isn't going to be the same ever again. I mean people who couldn't give a shit about golf could get interested in Tiger before. Now it's going to be nothing but the golf hacks of the world that show any interest. The money for that just isn't the same.

Im not a fan of golf at all but TIger Woods will be back and probably crush his rivals again. GIlbert will be back, hes career was already going downhill, but he will want to clean his image and proof that he can still play.

As for Gilbert, guns are always a bad move, always. I just can't help but feel a little disgusted about how society always wanna tear down people who are a little different. Yes he had guns, so do half the fucking players in the league. You think that was the only time something like that has ever happened. It got press because he is an eccentric guy that many people don't get. Dude made some bad choices but isn't a monster.

I think both guns were owned by Arenas.

Also the big problem is not that Arenas owns a gun, but he brought them to the stadium which is expressly forbidden and he should have known that. I don't for one minute believe he didn't know it was against the rules. There are other ways to keep your firearems away from your children. This excuse about not wanting it around his daughter I don't buy that. He obviously still wanted to own the guns because he didn't get rid of them or sell them.

but i did say he'd "weasel" himself back into the league eventually, because i'd suspect him to serve his time - then when he's eligible to play agian - he'll say how sorry he is, say all the right things, talk about how he's matured and that he's so sorry - but it'll all be a big lie and joke. just like when he issued that statement 2 weeks ago issuing a heart-felt apology to everyone, then 12 hours later he makes those gun gestures with his hands before the chicago game.... like its some big joke.
