Default What's Changed in Toronto

I moved from Toronto to Dallas in July 1999 and I might be moving back by next winter.

Just curious about any changes in the city, new buildings, neighborhoods, laws etc...

Use to live in Vaughan, specifically Woodbridge, how's that town holding up?

I've visited Toronto 3 times but I didn't get to see much in the past 8 years.

1999....Damn thats a decade ago.

A lots changed Woodbridge,Vaughn are all bigger and closer to Toronto, cause of the urban growth and what not.

Downtown might be more congested, but I'm not sure barely go downtown.

Thats all I can say, and Woodbridge is like 10 mins away from my house.

All the Italians in Woodbridge now have an accent....and an unlimited supply of hair gel.

And you have to drive from store to store in all the malls. No more walking.

There was a Woodbridge accent when I was a kid, I had the accent but it left years ago. I remember everyone was either Italian or Jewish and there was 2 Indian kids per class.

I knew about the Skydome, yes I still call it that. I took the Pepsi challenge there in '04.

I had Grapevine Mills in Dallas basically the same thing as Vaughan Mills so I think I know what it looks like.

I heard Wonderland was bought by another company, there was a name change? Good to see new rides getting built there.

Yeah, there are so many condos going up downtown. It's a really good thing to have more people living in the core. Cityplace bothers me though because it's just a bunch of towers with no real thought about creating retail infrastructure at ground level. They could have created a whole new, wonderful neighbourhood.

The Urban Toronto board is a good place to see the architectural changes. I refuse to sign up and post any thoughts because most of the people seem to be annoyingly full of themselves.
