Default Spyware.

Don't know how many people have good anti-spyware programs but it's something that some may want to check in to.....

My internet (on my home comp.) was crippled for the past 2 days when an ad for an anti-spyware program kept on popping up and just wouldn't go away. Didn't let me go to any webpages at all... just kept redirecting me to their site to buy the product.

A couple of my friends have had it as well and it's annoying as hell.

Just giving everyone a little forewarning in case they haven't had it yet.

That's why everyone should own a Mac.

Do you have a spyware removal program to use TO?

My computer is infested with spyware or something. I can't even log into my account because its jus fucked up so I have to use the guest account. The most sad part about this is that under guest i can't install shit because it's not an admin account. But w/e I've learned to cope with it and my computer is a peice of junk anyways.

I find Lavasoft Adaware to be pretty good. I've used it for a number of years and scan my computer once a week or so to make sure it's koshur.

not sure if it's still the best one, but i like it.

Also TO, not sure if this is still the case, but in the past a lot of filesharing software had spyware built into it.

Both Sauce and my IT buddy recommended a free program called "malware". Just plug that into Google and go from there.

And yes, my next comp. will be a Mac. lol.

That's the weird thing though... I don't use any filesharing software.

Yea it happened to me on my old laptop. My mom accidently click on one of those pop-ups that say "Your computer is infested with Trojans. Click here to delete them." My mom downloaded the thing and I couldn't delete it after. I just threw my old laptop away. The best thing to do is download a spyware program once you buy a new computer so you can delete viruses as they come
