It's amazing how condescending you sound while chastising others for being condescending.

This is one of the most dangerous lines in all of life.

I am sure that parents of the kid that got killed in the hockey fight are OK with it now... after all that's how it is...

You want to fight? Join the UFC. Don't be a pussy and and start whaling on people because you're not good enough to hang with them on sheer skill.
Yep.

%100

The primal goon in many of us can't look away, but the reality is that it serves zero purpose.

Suck me Benzo,

I think the nature of ther game as a high speed, high intensity contact sport, unlike Football, will always cause players to get a little heated, and if they feel like they have to fight, make the penalty BIG. If they feel they need to slash a guy and break his hand, give them a MASSIVE UNPAID suspension.

I'm sure taht will work.

I'm not a fighter. Never was, played hard, played mean, but respsect for your opponent is PARAMOUNT in sport, anmd i ALWAYS played with that in mind.

Sorry buddy, been there, done that.

A fight in Hockey does nothing to help the game.

Doesn't reduce violent plays.

Doesn't do a god damned thing except effect the fans the same way a fight in a bar parking lot does. I could live without both.

Then you'd better show up to the game, Doc.

You gotta show off to the tough talkers.

Everyone come up to Ottawa and we'll play a game on the Rideau Canal and go for some Beaver Tails and pints afterwards.
