Police Raid Ends In Dog Shot

On what grounds do you have to shoot a dog...for not understanding the word.. "Freeze" ?
I'm disgusted...and these are the same people who'll try for life for the shooting of a police dog.

I love animals and of course I feel like that swat team had no right to shoot that dog. I didn't see what type of dog with that but you would think either tranquilizers or just handling the dog in a different way would be an idea. Pretty sad

Also, it seems that in the past few days nothing but screwed up news has been coming from this forum

Febreezy 05-06-2010 09:15 PM

According to reports it was a caged pit bull.

Their you go an agressive dog with a bad history. If it was "caged" why even bother shooting it?

I wouldn't necessarily say an aggressive dog yeah they have a bad rep but in the end it's the owner that trains the dog that way. And it was caged I don't understand the sense of shooting it.

I agree with the statement "their are no bad dogs just bad dog owners" but I dunno just a bunch of cops that really don't give a dam. Not trying to paint all cops with the same brush but who knows what these guys were thinking when trying to bust this guy.

Yeah I'm thinking they took it easy cause they were on camera hate to imagine what they would've done if there was no evidence.:dead:

if the dog wasn't caged, and if it was in fact, a pitbull; the swat team had every right to gun it down.
But if it was caged... thann that`s just shameful

1.This is not Ontario Pitbulls aren't banned in the rest of the World.
And 2. On what grounds do they have the right to gun it down?

Stonezz 05-07-2010 03:10 PM

I dunno if the if the pitty was caged or not, cant see the vid right now. But if they're raiding a drug dealer or somethin its more then likely that dog is trained to rip someone whos infilitrating

Thanks Premier Dad McGuinty for displaying your ignorance once again.

Man I hate that guy

Stonezz 05-07-2010 03:14 PM

NVM i just got the vid to work, cops fucked up.

Superjudge 05-07-2010 04:14 PM

1. Pitbulls aren't banned. You are allowed to own one, you only need to have it muzzled when you have it in public, which, is rarely enforced.

2. The video is in Missouri.

3. You can pretty much guarantee the dog was shot for absolutely ZERO reason. Cops in the midwest have such an unhealthy hard on for all things DRUG raid that they feel justified in doing ANYTHING they damn well please.

I can't stand this shit. I hope they bring a massive civil suit down on this bunch of cunt bags.

XiaominWu 05-07-2010 04:22 PM

these cops have spent too much time watching COPS.

who the hell screams at an 8-year-old to "move it move it move it"?

They are being slowly grandfathered out. It is illegal to breed a putbill or any pure breeds that are used to breed a pitbull. Take this from a guy who was looking to get a staffordshire terrier. McGuinty is a nut

Agreed

Superjudge 05-07-2010 04:33 PM

I understand the law, but you're allowed to have one, I'm just saying that because I was showing that there is absolutely no moral or legal grounds for a guy to put three bullets in a dog just because of the breed.

You know, the simple fact that the guy being raided, was very calm when he said to the police "don't worry guys, they are good dogs, it's ok" when his Corgi ran by makes my stomach literally turn. He was wailing in pain when he realized his dog had been murdered by some dumb fucking hick with a badge.

For what? A bag of fucking weed?

I wonder how many Pints of ALCOHOL these ignorant pricks drank back as they reminisced how awesome it was when they gunned down some 7 year olds pet while the kid was 10 feet away crying

Another story out on an another Police Officer shooting a dog. This time in Michigan. The dog at least survive the shot.

Homeowner Says Police Unnecessarily Shot Dog

Quote:

SAGINAW TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- A Saginaw Township man wants answer after his 10-year-old black Labrador Retriever was shot by a police officer.

David Ruhle told WNEM TV5 he and his family were inside their Saginaw Township home in the middle of the night when they heard gunshots.

When Ruhle checked his back yard he saw the family dog Buddy covered in blood and Saginaw Township police officers with guns drawn.

"My gate was open and they were all standing -- there was about four of them,” Ruhle said. "They were looking for someone...they had heard a tip that that someone might be here."

The person who officers were attempting to question was Ruhle’s 18-year-old daughter’s boyfriend. Saginaw Township police chief Donald F. Pussehl Jr. said the boyfriend has a history of running from police.

"Officers went to both the front and back of the home, the dog charged and was unfortunately shot," said Pussehl.

The homeowner said his dog was never a threat to the officers. “He might have been growling at them,” Ruhle said. “But it’s the middle of the night and you just came into his back yard.”

Buddy was shot in the chest by a .45 caliber bullet, but is expected to survive.

Ruhle said it's upsetting that his 3-year-old daughter has to see Buddy with a breathing tube inserted into his chest and stitches over the bullet wound.

"He’s on pain medication and antibiotics," he said. "There’s no reason for it, he didn’t do anything wrong."

Ruhle said he believes the incident could have been avoided, but he’s happy man’s best friend is still alive and that no one in his family was injured.

The police department told WNEM TV5 that they are open to meet with Rhule to discuss covering the veterinary bills.
