Actually, in relative terms, if you're traveling at the speed of light, then with time dilation, 1500 earth years would be felt like only a handful for the crew aboard the ship. So, it's totally doable.

The planet might even have a stargate.

The gravitational force you would feel against your body, in order to get up to light speed, would be incredible. Good luck handling that for even a few weeks.

Don't give up. When every single star in the galaxy has burned out, the consciousness that originated long ago in the manboons known as "humanity"... it, in it's unfathomable genius, will find a way.

At the very, very end, there shall be the birth of new light.

The end will be a new creation.

A small group of humans will try to overcome their biology, somehow transferring their consciousness over to robust hardware suited for both an indefinite lifespan and space travel. I don't think it's an incredibly likely attainment, but with the time and resources, the effort will be made, I assure you.
