Again with the Toyota recalls. Who in their right mind would buy a Toyota after all the problems?

i definitely would. have driven them all my life and have never had a problem. they will clear this up, and with all the increased scrutiny will probably be the safest cars going forward. they can't let this happen again.

i have a buddy who's a sales guy at toyota, and he said no one who's bought any of the recalled cars models has reported having the issues the cars were recalled for in the first place. he says it's the same with a lot of the toyota dealerships around the GTA. take it for what it's worth, but who knows.

I own a Toyota and I wouldn't own one again because of personal preference. I actually own one of the recalled cars and have never really experienced any problems.

Also, didn't Ford have some recalls earlier this week?

I had a deal with the chip in the engine before the recall ever happened. It didn't have any effect other than causing the engine warning light to come on.

I've put on a lot of miles in Toyotas. I don't have any problem looking at getting another. The problem lies in a manufacturing chain that spans the globe. They aren't the only company open to the resulting vulnerabilities.

My husband and I own a 2005 Corolla and have never had problems with it. We have had a Toyota in our household since my parents got married in the late 70s ... no problems.

the only thing wrong with hondas and toyotas...is that when you want to get a new car and you're looking to run your japanese car into the ground first...you can't. a buddy of mine wants to get a new car when his '98 accord dies. thing has 350,000 clicks on it and it's still humming along.
